Hello,
The 'Full Site View' option was never really necessary, because the option to convert from mobile view to full site (desktop) view is available via your device (iPhone and Android).
If you are using iPhone and Safari, simply press the 'Share' icon (a square with arrow pointing up) at the bottom middle of the screen, then scroll to the right along the bottom bar and you'll see 'Request Desktop Site' as an option.
If you are using an Android, click the 3-dot menu in the top right and click the Desktop View box.

This was never really a 'Covers' special feature, it's available to do so on any mobile website you visit via your device itself.
iPhone. Click the Share icon along the bottom white bar which appears when you scroll down. It is the square icon with the arrow pointing up in the very middle. Once in there scroll left along the bottom bar until you get to 'Request Desktop Site'. Voila.
Note: you are not looking for this icon on Covers, it is a pop-up white bar which appears on any site. There are left and right arrows on the left side with 3 icons to the right of that. Click the share icon.
Android. Click the menu icon (usually 3-dot menu in top right of phone) which has a drop-menu. There you'll see an option for 'Desktop View'. Click that box.

The only page this seems to default back to (mobile view) appears to be for the Forums and My Contests. We've logged these issue and working on a fix, but for now if you'll need to switch to Desktop view a second time while on these pages.
Are you using an iPhone and what pages does it default you back to Mobile view on?
