I like that little back for the Beavers, but I cant overlook the letdown spot here...Utes should cover this one.

Huge letdown for Oregon St, and with the Utes finally getting to play at home for thier first W there this season - I see UTAH COVERING 11.5 EASILY HERE.

This is a perfect spot to take OSU.  They started slow, got beat by Stanford and murdered by Penn St........who as I have been saying all year is one of the best kept secrets in the country!!!  They have had a full week to digest the upset......Utah is on a short week........I believe.....Air Force gave this team everything they can handle a couple weeks ago on this field as a heavy dog.
 
I got to believe that Utah is in for a battle tonight.  Mike Riley is a solid coach and will have his group ready to keep righting the ship in the wake of the season saving, energy injecting win last week.  I also like the under......but like the points better.

After some analytical work I determined that this game will be close. Take OSU +12.5 and Over 53

dam, reading this stuff cracks me up. how does a team beat number 1 in the country and then have a letdown? are you people serious? oregon st started the season slow. sometimes that happens. i would throw those first 2 games right out the window because theyre on a roll now. it took them awhile to get things together. these teams are probably close to even and the spread is 11.5. thats funny. but i see why. vegas jacks up the spread because people come up with all this silliness about letdowns etc. and dont believe what theyve seen. ill be on oregon st tonite and ill be cashing another ticket.

the reason why a lot of people are going with utah is this:   this is a quote-

Oregon St vs Utah -11.5 (2 units) - I don't believe the hype stemming from the Beaver upset win last Thursday over USC.  Utah is a very good offensive team (as was USC), and has a good secondary (as did USC).  Oregon St. has not done well at all on the road this season, and doesn't have the extra week to prepare for Utah like they did with the Trojans.  Utah will be focused on stopping Jaquizz Rodgers on the ground and making Moevao beat them through the air.

aaarrgghh!! I'm just debating on taking Utah in here. I like the spot they are in playing at home with their starters being well rested for this one due to the starters for Utah being pulled out of their last game in the 4th qtr with a 34-7 lead. The bench actually gave up 2 late td's and one being with 12 seconds left. So IMHO that final score of 37-21 against Weber St is more deceptive than anything else.
 
Jacquizz of OSU is a good running back but at times I thought it was due to his small size getting lost behind the o-line but when the USC players tried to tackle him he was quite elusive as well. He does come into this game trying to run against the best defense in the Moutain West so I'm guessing Utah has a game plan to defend him.
 
Utah has a great running game as well with the tandem of Asiata & Mack. Both players are well rested and didn't take their normal pounding against Weber St so I look for them to have a good & effective game early as well against this OSU defense.
 
This season home underdogs coming off a cover are 3-9 ats this season in their next game, which basically means play against OSU in this one.
 
ats stats are pretty much even between these 2 teams and unlike some others that don't use them I do.
 
Leaning on taking Utah at the half in this one and will probably end up pulling the trigger just before the game starts.

Utah lost both QB Johnson and RB Asiata in 1H of last year's 7-24 loss at Oregon State.  The question I ask myself is this:  Which Beavers will show up?  The team that lost to Stanford and Penn State on the road, or the  the one that blew out Hawaii and upset USC at home?

A look at Oregon St.'s non-conference schedule last year is revealing.  A home win over Utah followed by a 3-34 loss at Cincinnati.  If you look back over the last few years you will find a trend of Oregon State playing lousy on the road in non-conference games.

As for Utah, a win here and they are cruising till November where they meet TCU and BYU at home in 2 of their last 3 weeks.  They ought to be 9-0 by the time TCU comes to town on a Thursday night. 

When you say this, I'm sure you're looking in the mirror. Squares are all on Utah.

Oregon State is battle tested and and getting +11.5 is nice.

I have two sources for the public money bets.  First is sportsbook<dot>com: go to the sportsbook section and click betting trends and choose the sports you want under comparative odds.  The other site, you have to sign up, is sports insight.  Good luck.
