CBSSportsline Expert Prognostigatos have the game as follows
23-13, 24-14, 16-13 and 19-17 respectively; all with Penn State victorious. That is an average game score of 36.75.
Take that into account with the now injured Ohio State kicker and his backup missing 2 of 3 last week and I can see this going under. I believe that both defenses will be amped for this game.
Good Luck all and may you be on the right side of the number.

I agree with those that Under is the play.

Well since I'm PSU season tix fan. I will let you know it's not schedule for a White out. Another fact is that Pryor ran his mouth after HS basketball state title game. He called the town of State College a joke(and that's being nice).

this one's easy. ohio state has had a couple cupcake games leading up to one of the best defenses in the nation in penn state at home. lay the points -5
penn state 23 ohio state 10

I'm laying a 2nd unit on Penn State. One at -4 and another at -5. While it may not be an official white-out, there will be plenty of white in the stadium and it will be LOUD. Very LOUD.
I also have a hunch this will go over the total. All season long I've been looking to this as a classic under scenario but I think it has the potential to be higher scoring than many expect.
For one, Terrelle Pryor has not been all that effective in a contained passing attack. Everyone knows the way to beat OSU is to stack the box and make Pryor throw the ball. They very well may call the bluff on the obvious strategy.
More importantly, Penn State's offense has really jelled. This is a team with a young OL and all new WRs. The kids have progressed well, and if they played Iowa again they'd probably still be favored, and win. The young WRs Moye, Powell, and Zug are studs, and TE Quarless will play on Sundays.
The last 3 games each team has moved the ball well. OSU has averaged 33 pts and 451 yards/game, and PSU has averaged 29/432. Yes both defenses are stout, but I don't think under 38 is a gimme. The under can hit but I'm going to lay off the total.

Danstyk - Check out OSU's 1st down totals when facing USC and Purdue.. the 2 best defenses they've faced so far. It's like 10 and 15 1st downs for the game.. and now they come up against a Penn St. squad with a better defense... that's why I like this matchup so much. Sharp

Looks like NOBODY gives the buckeyes a chance to ACTUALLY win the game at Happy Valley. OSU is every bit as good as IOWA imo, I think BUCKEYES have a good shot here...I am teasing BUCKEYES to +11..

Their D will keep this one close. PSU can't score at will on these guys.
OSU kicker will be Devin Barclay, a decent replacement. It's not like they picked a guy out of the band to kick.
He should be fine from inside 40 yards. Remember that PSU lost their top kicker last season to graduation. The new guy is 10/14 with two kicks over 40 yards. I think this well be a close game. PSU have had an easy big ten schedule so far.
Good capping and comment. The new kicker is no slouch. Hell of a leg but inexperienced.
