Middies -14                             under 41

Navy is just a better football team, they should grind out a 20 point victory today.

I feel the same...tough for 2 teams that might throw a total of 6 passes to go over 42 (particularly if they practice against the same office all season).  Navy is a much, much better team.

With the way that Navy runs the ball, and Army's Defense I think we will see a lot of field goals, and the 41 total is right on ,  Coin flip really

under, but I am going to wait and let it go up all afternoon.  Unless Army gives up a big play (pick 6, kick return,etc) they keep teams under 30.  They kept Rutgers and Temple to 27.  Army is better than past years, and will play to keep it close.  Even if navy runs them over early, service academy respect will have them running off tackle all second half.  Last 2 were under even with a KO return and pick 6 in each game.  Army is better and won;t give that up this year.

There a few reasons to consider taking Army and the points here:

- They are well familiar with defending the option, as they run it themselves.
- If they win, they get to 6 wins and become bowl eligible
- Army has had 3 weeks to prepare, Navy has had 2.
- A healthy spread for such a spirited game where neither team will mail it in for 60 min.
- Navy QB Ricky Dobbs, is playing with a knee injury that will require surgery after the season (so sez Phil Steele.)

I still think Navy will win it, but my gut tells me they won't cover.
Still thinking, but some points to ponder.

Won't be windy and the forcast doesn't call for any rain till sunday.  So weather won't play a factor in this game.  Surprised to see Army Team total at 14.5 for this one, dont see how their gonna get 2 tds in this game.  Maybe 1 td and 3 fgs though, but unlikely.

The only two games that Navy one by more than 17: La Tech (by 18) and Rice.  They only beat 0-12 Kentucky by by 17 when they were 30 point favs!

Army has only lost 2 games by more than 17: Iowa State and Air Force, both on the road.  This is the best defensive team that Army has had in years.

Every year, I watch Navy come in and trounce Army.  It's never even close.  But this year, Army is playing for a bowl game.  My gut says that Army brings in a better-than-usual team and blindsides the Midshipmen.  Navy may pull it out in the end, but I'll buy a point and take...

Navy wiiins BIG !!!! Don"t be fooled by Navy poor performance against hawai. Navy is not an offense like Wisc. Navy offense is built on speed and quick hitters, Wisc is a big powerfull punishing ground attack. Hawai defense is built on speed not big bodies, hense navy struggled against a speedy hawai def., Wisc just plowed over a smaller speedy Hawai defense . Army is a big slow defense. Navy with its speed and deceptiveness( is that a word lol) will run all over army. Sorry army would love to see a tie in support of our armed forces BUT, NAVY ROLLS.....

Two teams that love to run the ball.  Unfortuately both D's are absolutely crap and can't stop the run.  41.5 is a crazy number...EZ  pick, final score should be in the neighbourhood of 55-60
