Stanford is better than you're making them out to be. Their conference losses were on the road to Oregon St. and Arizona (two good football teams). Meanwhile, they have crushed Washington, my Bruins, and Arizona St. at home ... plus, they're coming off a bye and Oregon is coming off the highly emotional USC game.

people are thinking let down after a big win, on the road, and stanford getting up for a big conference game. personally i think it's close in the first half, they go into the halftime get chewed out, and come out in the second half and pull away.
oregon's a much better team with a lot of speed. if you don't think speed is a factor than look up the stats on the oregon st vs. stanford game.

Good points made...Thanks for comments....So with the spread only being 7. ..... This game could come down to a FG? Or Stanford finally showing back up again....and pulling out a victory at home?

It opened up at -5.5....this is a classic letdown spot for a team coming off of its biggest win since '03 at home vs #3 Michigan. Even though Oregon has beaten SC before, this was a huge step in there hunt for the Pac 10 championship. I was a little worried about this game until I saw a replay of Stanford play and saw how slow defensively they are. Stanford will score points but Oregon have too many weapons. At anything less than a TD was a play for me. Now at +7.5....I dont know anymore. But Oregon rolls in this one

I believe the line started low because Stanford has the ability to grind the clock & limit the # of oregon possesions. That's a big part of their game & I'm sure they'll try to emphasize that on Saturday. Key to the game will be if UO gets up early..........Stanford will have to start throwing more eventually & then it's lights out Irene.........they'll get smoked. If UO doesnt get up early then Stanford can hang for a while.

I agree with everything here...but in the end Oregon will cover 7 and win by about 10-12. Too good to fast.
