I wouldn't say that bud, Indy's defense this year is god awful, they lost basically anyone worth a damn from last year. Based on this years stats alone, Illinois should be at 20-24 pt favorite. They are a much better team this year, with a huge advantage defensively.
Indiana can score... Illinois has a problem getting the ball into the end zone...14 points here is a little Much IMO...

College football does not have a playoff because EVERY GAME EVER WEEK IS IMPORTANT. Now for every other team even TCU who plays AT UTAH; has to go thru a GAUNTLET of a shedule to EARN THE RIGHT TO BE IN THE NC GAME. So you think since Boise State plays ONE GOOD TEAM and then coasts the rest of the way they DESERVE the right to be in the NC GAME. I can name 10 teams that on a neutral field could win 1 (single) count them 1 game with a MONTH to prepare so why does Boise even have to play any games just put them in the NC game. They dont play anyone on their schedule that can beat them except the first game which was barely won and they game planned for that the entire year. Just answer me one question and I will even show you it so you can really think about it. You have to be UNDEFEATED or have ONE LOSS by a VERY GOOD TEAM to get to the NC GAME. You must think that Boise would ROLL Florida I mean totally destroy them since they have 3 losses RIGHT. So lets look at FL schedule and tell me what Boise record would be at the end of the year.

Granted this is a down year for Tenn and if they are playing all of these games; there will be injuries that mid level teams will have problems with; so you are saying that Boise would go on the road and beat Bama, Florida State, and Tenn while also beating LSU, Miss St, South Carolina and Georgia at home. You really think they can get thru all the ups and downs. You think they would destroy BAMA or roll up Auburn. My entire point is for Boise to get into a conference and play someone. I'm not arguing the fact of strength of schedule with you, but there are other considerations...
1- They are blowing people out regardless of who they're playing 2- With a #3 ranking, this team has a huge bullseye on their backs. Whomever they play, it'll be that teams biggest game of the season and getting up every week to defeat a sky high rival is tough - regardless of who you are. 3- I don't hear alot of bad coming out of their camp. The coaches and entire organization seem to run a clean shop. If you look back at the myriad of damage the Saban's, Carroll's, et al, who lay waste to the program and blow Dodge, it's hard not to root for them. 4- I'll agree that they may not come out ahead if they had the strength of schedule as others, but maybe they would? At one point in the Indiana/Ark. State game, the announcers said that Arky St. got $900K for playing in that game. If Boise had the same organization getting the kind of $$$ that the rest of the SEC schools get, you'd see a different story.
Now, the beauty of college football is the arguments. The what if's. It's flawed and always will be, and it'd be wise to not offend others with your rhetoric while trying to belabor your viewpoint. You seem to have this razor tendency to people who disagree with you. Relax. Life is way too short.

You know as well as I do, you don't have to be the best team in CFB to get to the National Championship game. Getting there is alot about circumstance. OU has been there before when they probably weren't even deserving of a BCS bowl. Remember Nebraska a few years back? Hell they didn't even win their own conference.I think Bama is the best team in CFB and if there was a playoff, they would show it. Yeah they got beat on the rd at South Carolina but anyone else in the Country would have been beat that day at SC. Thats the beauty of CFB and a playoff system would be HUGE!
