    Boom,

I agree that Boise on a neutral field with a month to prepare can beat a good team just like they did Vtech. This is where you are so wrong. How do you get to play for the NC? You have to go undefeated over the course of a long, extremely tough schedule where you play teams on the road that may never be able to beat you 9-10 times but just like Texas was off a bye week, 2 weeks to prepare and even playing on the road and they still win. Boise is a mid level team where they have no room for error if they lose a player they are finished; what if they lose Moore for 2 games like Zona; maybe not much because they are 40 pt favorites every game; you can talk about Boise all you want but I think its so wrong that Boise gets a pass while all of these other teams have to play these BRUTAL schedules; Bama had to play 4 games straight where the spread was less than double digits and most of those games those teams were coming off byes; Boise schedule is a joke and just because you beat one good team means nothing; the only and I mean only reason they would get to play is if EVERYONE has a loss and they still might not play; I will tell you one thing; TCU will jump them for SURE; TCU is much much much more legit than Boise their DEFENSE IS UNREAL; holding BYU to 14 yards in the first half. I guarantee you that if TCU runs the table that they will jump Boise and Boise SOS is going to keep dropping and if I had to talk a one loss anyone I would over Boise. Do you think that beating a bunch of crappy teams that you crush every weak is more impressive than some of these other teams. Just like these other teams that have champ games thats just another thing they have to do to get there. So give me a break when you say Boise will hold the Championship because they have no freakin right I dont care if they are the best team in the country; you have to play the tough schedule to get there; if not who gives a crap about every single week being important; just put Boise in the Champ game and everyone else is playing to get in there with them; that sounds so fair. Put Boise in Florida schedule and tellme if they are undefeated; or a Pac 10 team; look at Utah at least they are getting into a better conference while Boise stays in their crappy conference playing these crappy teams and they win one stupid game and calls that a season its a freakin tragedy. Boise would never see the inside of a BCS bowl if they had to play what all of the other top 10 teams have to play. What a JOKE?

    2. Ohio S.T continues to look bad on the road. What is the deal with this teams special teams. The trademark of ALL  championship teams are great special teams play. This team doesn't have that. So you do the math.
    3. Great play call at the end of the game there " Ole Ball Coach ". Why am I hard on South Carolina? Enough Said. Why even run that play? Kick the damn FG. Your better than Kentucky. Just the same old S.C.
    4. How good is Michigan S.T? Pretty good IMO. Go Back and look at my College football Breakdown. Some of those predictions are looking pretty good as of now.
    5. What a shootout in the SEC yesterday. Auburn and Arkansas scored a ton of points. Predicted by yours truly. Auburn and Gus Malzuan are a machine right now. Question is, how far can these guys go? That 6'6 monster of a QB IMO is the biggest threat in the country right now. Heisman Winner? Right now I say yes.
    6. Most of you prolly didn't see it or even cared. But, Western Kentucky almost won there first game in like 15 years... until they gave up 28 points in the final quarter to lose the game. God bless you Hilltoppers. May you have good health.
    7. Hey Florida Gator fans. LMAO, WTF is going on with your program? Your now Losing to Miss S.T. Urban Myer looks like he is about to give up. Peach bowl here you come.
    8. It's time for my Les Miles segment. These guys could play my local High school team close. Don't let that final score fool you. LSU really struggled to win that game last night. Les Miles is either the smartest man alive, or this guy is the luckiest guy ever in the history of mankind. I know I have said it before, but is he really crossed eye? Can somebody confirm that?
    9. Oklahoma is quietly winning every week. I predicted a Oklahoma vs Boise S.T BCS Championship game. Go back and look at my college football breakdown. These guys are good and are getting better every week. IMO the only game they have worth worrying about is @ Oklahoma S.T.
    10. Boise S.T is the best team in the country. I know you guys don't want to hear that, But it's true. Every week I come on here and tell you they are and some of you tell me why your team is or why Boise isn't. Well, all of those other teams keep dropping like flies and Mine is still here. When this season is over, we will ALL watch Boise hold that trophy above there head.

Better than David Letterman's Top 10!!!

    1.  I agreed with you.  I said with 2 weeks to prepare, Muschamp would shutdown a one-dimensional Corhusker attack.  One of my "Best Bets" of the week.

    2.  Ohio State proves once again how tough it is to run through a BSC Conference schedule unscathed.  It's virtually impossible.

    3.  After the Ole Ball Coach screwed me in that Auburn game with his stupidity, I don't think this loss due to his latest Les Miles moment could have happened to a better guy.

    4.  Agree on MSU.  Solid in all phases.  May be the best team in the Big 10.

    5.  If Cam Newton doesn't win the Heisman, they should scrap the award.

    6.  I did notice . . . heartbreaking!!!

    7.  Urban Crier on 24-hour suicide watch.

    8.  Can't confirm that, but can confirm what I've been saying about him since his arrival in the SEC.  He is "the village idiot."  There use to be 8-page threads on Covers replete with posters who wanted to argue with me on that point.  Wondering if any of them are still in the football wagering business?

    9.  Hard to see them losing.  Maybe Nebraska in the title game.

    10.  Boise continues to be the biggest fraud in the college football history.  Now we have 8-page threads on Covers replete with people trying to convince me they are a legitimate Top 10 team (See #8) even though they'll only play one respectable team all season, and that team is much better than Boise.

If the people who pull the levers in the BCS allow Boise to play for a NC, it will be the darkest day in the annals of college football history.  If they do allow this farce of a team to play for a NC, their chance of winning the game is painfully redolent of the movie Dumb & Dumber where Mary tells Lloyd that his chance of dating her is 1 in a million, and Llloyd get's an ear-to-ear grin on his face a gleefully responds, "so you're telling me there's a chance . . . YEAH!!!

I'm sure Boom will have a little something for you on this, but wait until after Nov 6 until you ordain TCU the team to knock Boise off.  Utah is probably going to spank this team. Out of these three NQ conf teams whose getting the least respect?  How do you spell MOTIVATION.    BOL

Like i stated in other threads.. even if Boise got into the NC game (which they might not).. even if the win (which they might not).. people still aren't gonna give them credit.. people are gonna say they got lucky or they shouldn't have been there in the first place..

like your plays except for Air Force... TCU pretty much owns Air Force, especially down in Texas... this Air Force team isn't really much better than past years... they were able to beat BYU for the first time in eons because BYU is way down... but TCU is one of the 5 best teams in the country, and they (unlike Oklahoma) know the formula for beating them...

if the line happens to drop down to 18, i think you would be wise to abandon ship on that game... just my opinion...

do you get that?  how do you justify that argument?  and do not deny that is what you are saying... you can't make the argument you are making, without ultimately concluding that all non-BCS  teams are not eligible to play for a National championship...

    and that is completely ridiculous!

the BCS formula works against teams that have an easy schedule... that is why no non-BCS school has ever played for a championship before... if a non-BCS team gets to the big game, they will have deserved to be there, i assure you!  they are fighting against a system that is much tougher to beat than the SEC or the Big 12... the BCS is against Boise in a big way... if they are in the Big Game, no matter what else had to happen for them to be there, they earned it!

I really like KSU+6.5 playing Baylor, and Mich st -6 against Northwestern!!  Nothing locked in yet, but like you said, Dublup Auburn  handles these jokers!  LSU will run out of luck with Auburn and Cam Newton coming to town!

Hope your right, even though I can't stand Les Miles 7 is alot of points. I think the "dumb ass hat voodoo" runs out this week.

The AP Poll is bullshit. Alabama at 7 with a 6-1 record and Michigan State at 8th going undefeated with Utah 9th being undefeated. Then OK State and Mizzou at 17th and 18th and they're undefeated.

Having the system set up the way it is would be better if it showed some semblance of consistency.

One note about Les Miles - LSU plays at Auburn Saturday night. I'm not betting against LSU. Teams like this, who find ways to win out of their ass, are very dangerous.

The last time I saw a team like this was the Florida Marlins in 2003. They were involved in a ton of tight games and never lost composure. You kept wondering how many more games they were going to pull out of their ass. The Marlins took the Yankees 4-2 in the World Series.

The last time I saw a team like this was the Florida Marlins in 2003. They were involved in a ton of tight games and never lost composure. You kept wondering how many more games they were going to pull out of their ass. The Marlins took the Yankees 4-2 in the World Series.

Last week you "promised" you would be plus 5 units on sides for the week....you only won 3.

Couldn't help but make that little dig......it is the only guy in your armor.

Seriously....keep up the great work Boomer....thanks for all you do here.

I wouldn't say that bud, Indy's defense this year is god awful, they lost basically anyone worth a damn from last year.  Based on this years stats alone, Illinois should be at 20-24 pt favorite.  They are a much better team this year, with a huge advantage defensively.
