Week 7 NCAA - Grinder wins again (+10.7 Units)

Back for Week 7 NCAA Football.  Another winning week out of the MemphisGrinder.  Oregon State failed to cover the 15 point line (Winning 19-6) or we would have had a huge week.  They had so many chances to get that last score, and kept shooting themselves in the foot.  Oh well, can’t dwell on that.  Let’s move on to Week 7, where I make up for that 5 star loss, and will be going with (2) Five star’s this week.  I feel great about them both, and should be bloodbaths.  Good Luck everyone, and appreciate the feedback.

** 5 Star Play **  Alabama – 21

I unfortunately suffered thru watching the Missouri game last week after they lost their QB.  It was brutal.  Now you tell me they have to play a well-rested Crimson Tide team without him as well.  They could not move the ball against Vandy.  What are they going to do this week?  Alabama is “old man” football at its finest.  Saban can name the score in this one, and the one number I am for sure about is Mizzou under 7.  Bama has scored over 30+ in each game this year.  That’s easy math.  Gimme Alabama in a “Name the Score” Game against Mizzou.

** 5 Star Play ** Ole Miss -4.5

Yeah, Yeah I know.  How could I pick the Rebels with that Swiss Cheese Defense they have??  I’ll tell you why, they are 5-1 ATS this year.  They lead the league in moral victories this year, and the folks in Oxford are looking for a breakout game.  Auburn is a terrible football team, and it shows as they let a team in disarray like Auburn come into their house and crushes them.  Auburn is just going thru the motions, and I believe they may have quit on Chizik.  Gimme the Rebels this week.  Not only will they win the party this week, but they win the game by 2 TD’s.

** 3 Star Play ** Toledo -14

Holy Toledo thank you for that Pick 6 last weekend!  Toledo one of Vegas Darlings this year at 5-1 ATS and I’m gonna ride that train til she bucks me off.   E. Michigan is struggling to start the season at 1-4 ATS and have lost by 11, 16, 17, 27, and 40.  I see a trend here.  Gimme Toledo and cut this game off at halftime.

** 3 Star Play ** Duke +9.5

Talk about two teams going in opposite directions.  Virginia Tech is just simply not a good football team this year.  Duke on the other hand is rolling up some big offensive numbers this season.  They have scored over 34 points in 5 of 6 games.  That means VT has to score 45 in this one to cover….Ugh, don’t see it happening.  Gimme Duke and the points and keep fading the public favorite VT Hokies. 

** 3 Star Play ** Arizona State -22.5

My cash cow this season struts back on the field Thursday night sporting their 4-0 ATS record.  Talk about a team that is fun to watch.  The nation will be let in on their secret on Thursday night as they play a putrid Colorado team.  This number is not high enough.  Start your week off on the right note.

S. Carolina +3

Can anyone tell me why S. Carolina is catching points in this game?  LSU was exposed on Saturday at the swamp, and they will get another big dose of it on Saturday in Death Valley.  SC brings ground and pound into Baton Rouge, and wins this one by a TD.

N. Carolina -6.5

N. Carolina showed the country that they were for real last week with an impressive win at home against the Hokies.  NC carries that on the road this week to find a team that got beat down by Touchdown Jesus last week.  Miami just is not good this year, and NC has a lot of steam going in their favor (4-1 ATS).  I’ll take a flyer on NC.

Maryland +2.5

This is a fade against Virginia.  You know what America, theirs one team that is 0-6 ATS this year and their name is Virginia.  I have a friend that believes in the streak #BITS, and should join me in this play of Maryland.  Strictly an angle, but it’s good for a star.

Fresno +7

Wrong team favored alert!  Wrong team favored alert!  Fresno brings their big bad ass into the blue turf Saturday night sporting the best ATS record in Football (6-0ATS).  I expect them to light up the scoreboard on Saturday night and win this game SU.  Boise is down a little this year, and I think they are just getting public favoritism on this number.  Play the Bulldogs with confidence.

Oregon St +2.5

I saw enough on Friday night that I will be playing against BYU a lot the rest of the year.  BYU has a great defense, but so does Oregon St.  Unfortunately for BYU, Oregon State has a good offense too. 

UAB +14

Rarely do I dabble into CUSA powder puff football, but this week I have two plays from the CUSA.  Guys, their isn’t many Div. 1 teams that Houston should lay -14 points too.  I think I could pick up 11 guys at work, and could score 30 points on them.  UAB is coming off a game last week where they rolled up 59 points on someone.  The offense is clicking right now in Birmingham.  I’d suggest parlaying this with the over, and kicking your bookies ass on this one.

Texas San Antonio +3.5

I like to just simply fade teams during the season.  Rice gentlemen lost to Memphis last week.  Memphis guys (I live here), could be the worst team in America.  Another little known fact, Texas San Antonio can play.  They are 3-0 ATS this year, and gave a few decent teams a game this year.  Rice is something you eat, not a team to bet on.  Gimme TSA please.

Kent St -1.5

Army shot their wad last week vs. BC.   Kent State is peaking and this should not be close.  Gimme Kent State in the “I can’t believe I bet on this game”, Game of the week.
