Texas Tech @ Oklahoma - Week 13
I am still looking for the most convincing argument and I have that post picked out...but I will wait until Saturday to choose my play and will credit it to the argument that convinced me most.
(for the lucky winner, you are not liable for my play, as always...it's my money and my choice. just giving you props for the best capping angle)
In addition, I am interested in the Vegas angle, as irrelevant as it may be in the final outcome of the game...what was Vegas thinking at -7 opening line. Are they that concerned that the public is going to pound OU for any number like 5 or less?
The lines are getting sharper, it's just amazing to me that books have little faith in TT.

Gomez - I compared the like opponents to briing some balance to the notion that Tech's defense was so much better than OU's defense, that OU couldn't stop Tech, but tech would stop OU, blah, blah, blah
You are correct that most of the games OU has played have been manned by the second team during the 4th quarter.
Sooners should be able to handle Tech again. I see OU winning by 2 scores 10+
But admittedly, I am an OU homer so consider your source
BOOMER!!!!!!
Cheers ![]()

tamer - well stated...I was thinking Tech might forfeit since they have no chance as trichardson indicates...likely they will show up..![]()

Let's not forget that the REAL game of football is played on the field. The game we play -- the gambling game with points -- is almost a fantasy game really. It's based on perception and where the money goes and where it comes from.
Sure it makes sense that Vegas would give 7 to even things up. But to assume that means they know some deep secret that assures a Sooner blowout is ridiculous. I think this is TT's year and they have a good chance of winning outright -- at least a 50/50 chance. I see this being a 3-4 pt game in the end with the team having the ball last winning.
You can also cap it this way. Each team has a top 2 Heisman contender at QB. But one team only has another player in the top 5 for the Heisman at WR. That's a difference maker.

I see a couple of people thinking OU -14 and OU -21...you all are nuts!
C'mon fellas, I have yet to see the winning argument that is going to give me a reason where to put my big play this Saturday night...

Maybe this is the winning argument! I completely agree with you. I will not play this game big - it's a horrible game to cap if you want to make money. But, I will ultimately put 1 unit on it eventually.
To be honest, I am going to play OU -6. Cats out of the bag. If it's at -7 still, I'll buy it down. I may have missed my opportunity.
