This game will probably take me all week to cap. Its going to be a blast to watch. It would take brass balls to play the under in this game. Oklahoma is an absolute machine at home, and while I'm inclined to lay the points now I am going to hold off before viewing a few more angles.
Betting an under in an Oklahoma game is heart attack inducing if one watches the game. This is going to be a beauty.

Texas beat OU going away.
Texas played like shit after beating 3 top 11 teams in a row and still only lost to Tech on essentially the final play of the game.
Texas going over Tech would bother NO ONE outside lubbock. If OU wins, its a done deal Tech would be out of the picture.
And the fact of the matter is, Tech is and almost certainly always will be percieved as a gimmick offense, true or not; Texas is perceived as among the top ten elite programs of all time.

Leroy-Bombers... gotta warn you... CFB rarely works out that "simply" as you say...
however... gotta think TT is the only play... Michael Crabtree is one of the best college WR's i have ever seen... he is without a doubt the top player in CFB, and unless some NFL GM is a complete idiot, he is a lock to go first in the draft... and yet he is likely going to lose the Heisman to someone on his OWN TEAM...
the OU defense has been ugly against all respectable opponents... i can't imagine for one second TT doesn't score AT LEAST 35 in this game... and honestly, i see them putting up 42+... TT shouldn't ever have to punt against that defense... if Tech can stop OU just a handful of times, that will be enough to win it outright...

Don't be dumb now, looking at something from just one way. According to you... you want to send Texas instead of Texas Tech (who they lost to). Thats the point of a tie breaker - they need some method to break up a 3 way tie.... and highest BCS ranking is fine. Or maybe, you just wanted to break up the BSC.

If TT loses, it would be after beating 3 top 19 teams in a row.... So its not a major difference. Also, TT's loss would be on the road - while Texas' was at a netural site.

The question in this game is who's defense has a better chance at stopping the other teams offense. If you review the stats:
Tech: 22.2 PPG, 107 Rushing (3.4avg) and 62.3% for 244 passing
Okla: 23.6 PPG, 107 Rushing (3.2avg) and 52.7% for 238 passing
Now lets look at some common opponents:
Kansas: TT allowed 315/161r/154p (at KU) while OU allowed 491/134/357 at OU
KSt: TT allowed 296/113r/183p while OU allowed 550/64r/486p both at KSt
Texas: TT allowed 374/80/294 at TT while OU allowed 438/161/277 in Dallas
From an OU perspective, all of these games were played without LB Ryan Reynolds (half of UT game - note after he left Texas dominated). Heart and soul of their defense. While the Sooners did some stat padding in recent weeks against Nebraska and A&M, Tech got battle hardened against Texas and OSU.
I believe Tech will be able to protect Harrell. They have all season. So that leaves the youngish OU secondary to cover too many Tech weapons. Likely they will try to double Crabtree which will leave man or LB coverage on other receivers. Could be big trouble for OU.
I believe this game will come down to who gets out in front first. Tech has not been behind in a game all season (other than Texas game in last minute and we know what happened there). OU gave up a lead to Texas with shoddy special teams play (A&M also had over 200 return yards against them) and suspect secondary play.
In my opinion this game should be OU -1 or -2 at most if not a Pick'em. I see Tech jumping out early and holding on at the end for a close win.

if OKL wins TX goes since they are ranked higher in the BCS rankings to Big 12 championship. I can live with that as TX defeated OKL. similarly, if 'bama loses to FL, gators go to BCS championship and good old USC gets left out. too bad, but that is what happens after you lose to an unranked Or. St. team. TX vs FL, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
USC vs TX T. or OKL very attractive matchup, then Utah vs Ohio St. or Penn St. vs Or. St. Boise St against any others like MO or 'bama or OKL.

Do you know how many games OU has lost at home since Bob Stoops has been there 2 and one of them was a last second score. If anyone knows anything about Tech and OU is that OU OWNS Tech; the only win Tech has in the last years is when OU got hosed at Tech. Everyone keeps talking about Tech's offense and Harrell; Bradford is the better qb and it will show when he goes much higher in the draft. Tech defense is going to get absolutely shredded. Look at Tech schedule; they beat OSU and Texas AT HOME; going on the road is COMPLETELY different. Tech is one dimensional just like always and Stoops AT HOME with 2 weeks to prepare spells blowout. OU would be number one is scoring if they didnt score over 50 every first half then just run the ball the rest of the game and as far as Reynolds being out. OU's defense in a big game will be more than ready to stop Tech. And to think OU will only score 38 against Tech's pathetic defense; do you know remember the Nebraska game; they almost got beat at home in overtime; they were lucky to win that game and you saw what OU did to Nebraska; they scored as much as Tech did in the first qtr. Anyone on Tech needs to go back and look at history. OU owns Tech even at Tech OU owns Tech. Also the guy from the BCS recently said that if OU beats Tech and OSU which the OSU game is probably a loss for OU; that those two games carry much more weight and OU would jump in the BCS over Texas. Good luck to you guys on Tech but if you think Tech has any chance of stopping OU's offense in Norman you are living in a dreamworld.

Also manifesto your common opponents stats are about the most retarded thing I have seen on this site. Did you watch the Kstate/OU game; OU scored over 50 in the first half; they could have scored over 100; so to sit there and talk about meaningless stats in a game that was over at halftime makes absolutely no sense. As far as the Texas game that was on a neutral field; Tech was lucky to even win AT HOME against Texas so those stats mean nothing as well. Let me give you a lesson in college football. HOME FIELD MEANS EVERYTHING!!! That is why its a joke Florida is in the top 5 when they lost to a four loss team at home. If you lose at home you dont deserve to play for a NC period.

trich - I am aware of Stoops record at home and how poorly Tech has played there. History would definitely point to an OU romp. But this is a different year and a differnt Tech team. We will see on Saturday. And I am glad you bring up Florida - best team in the country right now by far and they lost at home in arguably one of the most difficult places to play for an opposing team. Anything can happen on any given Saturday, even to the best teams. Tech and OU play at Norman and OU would probably win 7 or 8 out of 10. But it aint gonna happen Saturday chief. And thanks for the lesson....
