South Carolina should be in the playoffs over Alabama

I am fully aware that Bama beat them earlier in the season by 2. However, Bama has some horrid losses on their schedule. They don't deserve it this year. I get the committee and ESPN have this obsession and constant belief that Milroe is showtime and must-see TV, but he really isn't. The team has look dysfunctional all season. South Carolina has looked much better.

I hadn’t thought of this just because of the head to head but Alabama has definitely looked dysfunctional most of the season

that loss at OU is brutal an_speechless

If Sellers doesn't get hurt and the refs don't screw them.....So Car beats LSU by 24+ and we wouldn't be having this discussion.....Also, would love to see some new blood in the mix that actually has a shot at the title.

Wow! Cocks last (7) games are better than any other schools. I remember their win in Lexington vs UK and they absolutely beat The Cats like they were playing a high school team.

Nobody wants to play The Gamecocks right now!

they got outplayed and outgained by Clemson but found a way to win but losing to 3 ranked teams and head to head with bama and ole piss has cost them a shot plain and simple an_cry

And you are saying that Bama's loss to 6-6 Vanderbilt and 6-6 Oklahoma (actually a beatdown) don't matter? Bama beat South Carolina early in the year by 2. South Carolina should have won that game. They were leading in the 4th and outgained Bama. And this was when South Carolina was figuring themselves out. Since that game they have been on a roll.

If South Carolina plays Alabama today on a neutral field, the Gamecocks roll

I find it interesting that Ole Miss is not in this conversation. All 3 of their losses were extremely close and they beat S Carolina 27-3. It was a beat down. They also beat Georgia 28-10.

Losing to Kentucky at home is going to hurt them big time. That was Kentucky's only conference win. Sure it was earlier on in the season but they really didn't look "great" down the stretch. I get that they beat Georgia but they are (always) Jekyll and Hyde

money rules. bama has lost to two unranked teams and still ranked 11th the same place they were ranked week 11 when the playoff rankings first made their appearance.

Agree sc turned ball over 4 times in game, a young team on road missed a 2 point conversion that would of tied game w under min left

Problem with Ole Miss is that you have to wonder how much that loss against Kentucky is going against them. That was the only conference win for Kentucky and it was at Ole Miss.

South Carolina also missed a 51 yard field goal, and at the end of that game they also recovered an onside kick. Just couldn't get in field goal range. SC owned time of possession and total yardage in that game as well. Just wasn't meant to be that day.

In my view the selection should be based on the conference especially since most of the teams didn’t play many meaningful games out of conference. Thus, the 4th team from the SEC is between SC ole Miss and Bama. SC lost to bama and got destroyed by Ole miss. SC should be out.
