you really think they will let TCU get in over a 1 loss SEC team that had the 9th toughest schedule and went undefeated in the regular season, beating 2 top 10 teams and 5 top 25 teams? not to mention their one loss is from a game  wisconsin, TCU, and Oregon dont have to bother with. u really think Oregon would want to face Stanford again at a neutral site? wisconsin would want to play Michigan St? a team they lost to? TCU would want to play......oh yea the MWC is a fucking joke...by the way, they have played one ranked team this season, UTAH. and do not try to argue this by using Wisconsin, i dont think they should play for the title either

look at the one loss teams IF Auburn loses the SEC championship this weekend. its already hard to compare them bc Auburn plays in a conference championship game, and these teams dont play a championship game

12-1 Auburn - undefeated regular season, 5-0 versus ranked teams. 2-0 vs current top 10 teams in the regular season

11-1 Stanford - a very solid team, but this will be eye opening for some of you. Stanford, after the Arizona loss last night, will have played ONLY ONE ranked team ALL season. Oregon. oh yea, it wasnt even a win. they lost by 21. Stanford hasnt beaten a single ranked team all season!

11-1 Wisconsin - very very hot team right now. they have been racking up serious points in the last 3 games, but against who? Michigan, NW(w/o Persa), and Indiana. some real powerhouses there and im still not sure whether or not Michigan sends players out on defense or not. they are 1-1 against ranked teams.

11-1 Ohio State - like Stanford, they havent beaten a single currently ranked team, and got beat by Wiscy, so Wiscy gets in before them, and Wiscys not getting in.

11-1 Michigan State - they have only played ONE currently ranked team all season, and that was a win vs. Wisconsin. they got absolutely handled by an enigmatic Iowa team that lost to Minnesota in the last game of the season, to finish with 5 losses.

11-1 Nevada - well, i dont even have to do this one

11-1 Boise State - this one either

    ill even throw in TCU

12-0 TCU - one win vs currently top 25 team. #20 Utah, the powerhouse of a team. enough said.

id put TCU ahead of any 1 loss team except Auburn, which is what the BCS will show you should Auburn fall this weekend.

you are only as good as the people you play. of course any of these teams could beat any of each other "on a given day", but until that day comes, its all speculation and you have to go with whats on paper. why dont some people get that?

If Auburn losses than I truly believe that TCU will play in the championship game

My reason: back in 2001 the BCS allowed Nebraska who never won their conference championship game into the BCS championship game and they got their a** kicked so the BCS will not allow this to happen again!!!!

if both Oregon and Auburn lose then Stanford or Wisconsin will play TCU

Agree.. I think the bigger issue is if Auburn loses, they haven't won their conference and not sure voters would only drop Auburn a spot or two to stay ahead of TCU..

I'd also agree that Auburn would still be the best 1 loss team in the country based on their body of work..

Would voters remember the year they shafted Auburn after going undefeated and not allowing them to play in the National Championship game??  Give them some redemption if they happen to lose to South Carolina??  I believe it was the year Oklahoma played USC and Oklahoma was destroyed.

Most of these 1-loss teams are better than TCU.

Hopefully TCU doesn't get in, even if Auburn gets blown out. Stanford and Wisconsin are so much better.

If it wont be TCU, it will be a 1 loss auburn. stanford and wisconsin have ZERO shot of making it in. not playing a conference championship hurts them both, as well as hurting TCU. you are saying an auburn team that doesnt win their own conference wouldnt go, but Wisconsin, who won a 3 way share(which is stupid) of a conference championship, and stanford, who lost their conference point blank to Oregon, would go? thats stupid, considering what teams these 3 have played throught the season, which auburn wins by a mile.

But how can a team claim to be the best in the Nation, if it doesn't even win its conference..

Auburn does not deserve to play for a NC yes there offense is potent and can score with the best of them but they CAN and WILL be stopped and the defense is laughable absolutly horrible arkansas without mallet put up 40+....TCU is the only team out of them that actually has a chance ofslow down oregons offense FOR A FULL 4 QUARTERS not saying they would but there the only ones who could(unless your cal and you fake injuries)

you are dreaming. im not sure why everyone think auburns entire defense is bad. its 4 out of 11 players that are suspect..Auburns front 7 is as good as anyones in the nation. who has shown that they CAN and HAVE stopped Cam and the offense? NO ONE. have they been slowed down? Sure. But so has Oregons. Neither offenses have come close to being STOPPED. Auburn has the 9th toughest schedule. Oregon 74. TCU 84.

Still all that being said,,I still say if either Aub loses to SC or Ore loses to Ore St,they will not get in the NC Game. I agree with Helms,,they did take Neb back in 2001 and they didnt win their conf Ch,,heck they didnt even play in it. They will not take Aub if they lose the SEC CH when there is an undefeated TCU team out there, Also I agree if that happens and they dont take TCU,then Wisky & Stan are right behind. I would take Wisky then as they have been playing about the best ball lately. Aub will not get in unless they beat S.Car.

they were still ranked when they played them at the time, but yes Fever at the end of the year it doesnt look that great when those teams fall from the ranking. My main point was Aub  will not get in over one of those 3 teams if they lose in the SEC Ch game.

Yea, I agree.. they will have a better resume than all the other 1 loss squads, but 12-0 TCU gets into NT game if Auburn loses..

again, the only team that has greater than a 0% chance to get in right now besides 1 and 2 is TCU. If Oregon and Auburn both lose, its 1 TCU vs. 2 Auburn.

if just Auburn loses, the only 2 options are

1 Oregon vs. 2 Auburn OR 1 Oregon vs 2 TCU....

wiscy and Stanford getting it is absolutely impossible. Auburn would be the only 1 loss team that can play in the NC. period.

and I stand behind my thoughts, Aub will Not get in no matter what if they lose. and if they win which I think they will,it should be a heck of a NC game if Ore is the opp also.
