Serious Question about Jevan Snead I'd like to discuss

sort of on topic..i didnt watch much CFB last year and when i turned on a game to watch a kid named Jevan Snead I was stunned that he was a white guy

IMO he is an average college QB... Nothing spectacular about him... He went 9-4 last year which is average for a good SEC team, he had a completion percentage of 56% and around 2500 yards on the year, which once again is average....He may be a great pro prospect but in college he is an average QB.....That is IMHO though.....

i just asked lsu fla and tt what they thought of him dropping his shoulder, they said they didnt notice because they were too busy chasing down his receivers . lol just kidding

Okay let's be realistic.  I will be the first to admit that Jevan is erratic at times and he sometimes overthrows receivers, especially in the first half.  But he is a winner and WAY above average as a college QB.  He took a team that was 4-8 overall and 0-8 in the SEC and he turned that around to 9-4 and finished strong by stomping TT in the Cotton Bowl, and the best you can give him is "average"???  Give me a freaking break!

Dude seriously....he is over-rated for the status he's been given. How in the world can a guy complete 56% of his passes and he is the top rated or 2 rated QB on the Big Board. Huh? And then to make it worse he's completing less then 56% to start the season out against Memphis and Southeastern Louisiana. He's playing himself out of ANY 1st round consideration in my eyes. And at the end of the season after he barely breaks 57% completetion rate on the season and watches Tebow get 1st team all SEC and the 2nd team going to the kid from Alabama or Mallet he'll be hoping he'll get drafting in the 2nd round. Now is he a capable QB...sure but he has flaws in his game and the biggest being he lacks accuracy and he can not throw on the move....point blank.

So to answer yor question at this point after watching him play and NOT letting ESPN TELL me he's a great QB...he's a good above average QB. I would take 4 other SEC QBs (Tebow, Mallet, McElly, kidd from Auburn) over him in a heart beat

I personally don't see it myself.  I am watching last weeks game right now and he has made a lot of throws that won't go over against SC.  I am going to have to go with SC after watching this game.

Exactly...it only takes one good nationally televised game and that Memphis game will be completely forgotten. Although, I like South Carolina tommorrow night personally.

Tony Romo = opposite of Snead.  This boy knows how to play in biG time games.  He will make a statement, and perhaps a coming out party on Thursday.  Hate to do it but am going to ride the public band wagon on this one.  Hey it happens; you see indi cover monday night

   1st yr starters, just dont go into FLA<LSU>TT(cotton bowl), and win in the same season.  He's a big game player.  It seems KOKO that u know football, u should know that Nutt isn't going to give spurrier any game film to use.  The practiced plays all week were aimed at SC.  The mempis game and SELA game is being discussed alot on this board.  Memphis= dirty team( ask greg hardy) , 1st game, road game, memphis superbowl,38 playesr with swine flu .  SELA, 1- week off before, game before SC, getting players back finally from flu, it's SELA.  Not making any excuses, just stating some facts that played into 1st 2 games. We wont know the whole story about either team til the book is closed, but tomorrow night the rebels start writing another chapter in the greatest season possibly OM ever had since i been alive.  My 2 cents

Dude stop crying...if you lost on Ole miss oh well. This wasnt an I bet SC post and nana booboo to Ole Miss backers. But I spreading knowledge on the guy. My biggest attribute to this site is I use to play football at a BCS school, majority of my friends are in the NFL and I KNOW football to the tee. I can care less about showing you my card for this w/end because Im not a capper and wouldnt want to here other bitch/hate if I lost. I follow line movements, I follow other cappers, and I read what the majority say and or what other knowledgeable people think of games whether its basetball (which Im highly successful at) and football.

If you take ANYTHING from this post of mine....know this I KNOW football down to schemes, to what adjustments need to be made in game and what talent is. Ive played with college All-Americans, 1st round draft picks and All-Pro ball players since I was in highschool. So if I say some kid is all hype and not that good you might want to adhere to what Im saying.

Yeah, just like I guess you thought the same about Kalil Green of the San Diego Padres?

Spurrier toyed with Snead's head when he voted him above Tim Tebow for 1st team all SEC.

Dude.. I made money on SC and if you look up earlier in the post you will see that I thought he was overrated.  You would have noticed that if you were not to busy talking about yourself. 

You sound pathetic to me... You have over 6000 posts yet you are not a capper.  You do realize that this site is about handicapping don't you?  This is some funny shit.  All of your friends are professional players.  I am literally laughing as I write this.  And, you don't cap but you understand schemes and adjustments like no other....but you don't cap football only basketball.  LOL.  Jeez dude you are a living in your own fantasy parade.

Good QB and I'm sure he will bounce back but it's one thing to put up numbers when you're an underdog and no one expects allot but it's totally different when your favored and everyone is gunning for you.  I think he and Old Miss are good but not top 5 - neither have proven they will flourish in that role.
