Last week is a week I'd like to forget, going 3-4-1. Struggled in the NFL as well. Looking forward to a much better week here.
"CURE" - Texas A&M +2 -
Look for a strong Aggie running game to be the difference in this one. This should be a close hard fought battle for most of the game. I think Texas will be able to win the defensive battles and win this by a TD.
No play on Friday.

Combined Total: 16-9-1 64%

Hey Specialist, great stuff. I read your posts every week. Don't post myself too much, but I just wanted to ask what your approach is to come up with these games each week? Do you have a pretty standard strategy? And how do you classify a play as your best bet (Cure) and those just worth a look (Band-Aids) because your Band-Aid plays seem to be paying off at a better rate than your Cures?
Thanks for your help. I'm new to all this so I'm just trying to learn as much as possible. Best of luck tonight and this weekend!

sportsfanatic15 - Well, I will look at the entire board of games being offered by my book and 1 by 1 will go analyze each game without looking at the spread or o/u. What I have been doing for years, and it's been good for me so far, is to come up with a final score that I envision each game to end with. I will put an asterisk next to each game I feel really strongly about. After doing this for every game, I begin to look at the spreads of each game. The games with the highest point differentials will stand out out as worth a look plays. If I've placed an asterisk next to any of these games, they become my "CURE" & "PRESCRIPTION" plays.
It's a long process but I've enjoyed success over the years doing it this way. I will avoid other people's opinions, friends, analysts etc., until after I've picked my plays, in order to avoid second guessing myself.

Thanks for the insight! Sorry for all the questions, but are you a stats guy or a trends guy? I've seen many different threads in here preaching both so it's a lot of information to comprehend. If you are a stats guy, what specific stats to place more emphasis on? If you are a trends guy, I guess the same question.
