Miami just solidified it. Too many of you ignorant people think only 1-2 teams can win it all are delusional. They almost didnt puta team in that has advanced to final four. Notre Dame and Texas probably could have done the same. Let’s go to 16 with no auto bids and top 16 play it out. Quit letting the non power teams in that don’t deserve it and let’s play this out.

Yeah that was the reason….lol..not the fact they played 3 teams with a pulse and Couldn't score more than 14 in any game (Texas,Indiana, Miami)…let me sum up the two national titles for the Big Ten….Michigan won before the expansion and they cheated their way to the title and the right teams weren’t selected to play….Ohio State, though they ended up being the best team wouldn’t even have been selected for playoffs without the expansion….they then were awarded a home game they didn’t deserve and parlayed that into a title run, they sat there for a month mad after the pathetic Michigan loss and drummed up the “ we are going to show the Sec who is boss” Schtick, when in reality all they did was beat the #4-5 Sec team on their home field, they then had another “fake mad” matchup with Oregon who beat them in the regular season and they then had rest was history

16 team playoff and no one gets a bye, so no 30 day layoff. that way teams like Tulane and JMU get into the CFP and get smoked by the top seeds, much like we see in all the other NCAA sports.

I would also put Vandy and Iowa in that conversation. No one wants to play these team either right now. USC probably as well even though they lost but they had a ton of guys not play in their bowl game. Neutral field and a ton of time off makes it really difficult to bet these games.

neutral field should be irrelevant. that's why it's neutral.
time off can play a part. coaches matter here. they either play it up and prepare, or give f*** all and just wing it.
the biggest variable is the portal (and a smaller part, players headed to the NFL). teams arent what they were weeks ago because many players are no longer with the team.
some coaches have their backups ready, some dont

Well again you got awarded a home game that you didn’t deserve as Tennessee had a better regualr season than you because they didn’t lose a home game to a bad Michigan squad…but yeah you beat the 4th or 5th best Sec team on your home field in the cold without their star running back...a big fat nothing burger…but im glad your team got up for us like we were Burrow LSU, too bad you don’t get up for Miami last night..then again Ohio St plays in a pathetic conference they rarely win, gets gift wrapped playoff spots, spends more money than any other program, yet doesn’t have the trophy case filled like they think they do…go figure…enjoy your hyped up program that 9/10 comes up short..keep spending that money to beat those Big Ten teams that never factor in! See you again next January for another playoff loss and money well spent.
