Big movement today. Anybody have the scoop on why? 3.5 to 5 just in the last hour. Looking forward to seeing DoubleUp's thoughts on tonight. I'm leaning NIU ML but this line movement concerns me. BOL to all and appreciate any dialogue that comes from this thread.

I’m shocked. …..maybe NIU is resting dinged up players with minor injuries so they can be slightly less dinged up in a game next week that matters. Probably coming out slowly but surely who is not playing and we just haven’t heard yet.
……. Senior night, those on the field will still play hard and it may be enough, especially if WMU lays down. But WMU is more talented, outcome will depend if they have any guts left and decide to show up just a little and play with effort.

Maybe because niu is in Mac championship game already but that team has surprised a lot of people. They have played with maximum effort nearly all season.

Starting true freshman 2 star quarterback that has never taken a snap. I was hoping they were starting a senior as it could just be a senior night thing and Lombardi would come back on drive 2 but it doesn’t look to be the case.

This game is a great spot for Western Michigan. Northern Illinois has already clinched the MAC West title so this is nothing more than an exhibition game for them as they prepare for the MAC championship and, hopefully, an upper tier bowl game that will get them some quatloops. There is zero reason for them to play hard tomorrow night. Even if they wanted to play hard, their 8-3 record is deceiving. They have won all of their games by very close margins and they have actually given up more points than they have scored this season. Five of their eight wins were by less than a FG or won in OT. In essence, they have had a horseshoe up their ass all season.
On the other hand, this win would be really important for the Broncs, who are 6-5 but most likely don’t want to play Rutgers in the Weedwhacker Bowl. So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. These teams are very comparable. The Husky defense isn't great. It’s going to boil down to effort and "want to" and the Husky’s have neither in this MACtion tilt. So...I am riding the Broncs.
