Well this game means alot to Stanford and in my opinion to Oklahoma,, even tho its not a BCS bowl for the Sooners like they are use too,, and some may worry they are not motivated. We have to remember Coach Stoops Bowl record.. Its not very good. THey have lost their last 3 bowl games as a matter of fact. ANd its widely known around sooner nation that Stoops just may not be able to get the job done in big games. So we have a 10 point line here. WHY? Oklahoma has been horrible on the road. ANd Stanford has been a team that shows up and shocks people time and again. Oklhoma travels very well and this game is closer to Norman than to Stanford. SO crowd should give the edge to the Sooners. Oklahoma recruits in the top 5 of recruiting classed year after year. They are always in contention with Florida and Texas for the top guys. WHy is this a 10 point spread??? My reasoning on this is that Oklahoma has the better talent. In every spot. Except Tailback and maybe offensive line is close to the same this year. Oklahoma really needs this game to finish a season that was pitiful by their standards. ANd Coach Stoops has a chance to better that bowl record against competition that is a little less stacked... Stanford has done well this year and had a great player who almost won the heisman. But I think that to much is being focused on that rather then the team as a whole. Now I could be completely wrong on this one like I was for the Nebraska game,, but after looking over everything, I just feel that Stanford will have a hard time matching up against this Oklahoma team. Especially if the Sooners can get the Pass game going. So my play is:
OK SOONERS - 9.5 (B.5) 3 UNITS
OK SOONERS 1ST HALF - 6.5 1 UNIT
NBA; ( 421-344-14) + 81.3Units 59%
NFL: (139-119-4) + 56.4 Units 54%
NCAAF: (182-124-11) + 113.2Units 61%
Overall: (742-587-29) +250.9 Units 58%(unit=800)
( 16 - 10 - 1 ) Bowls +5.8 UNITS
