3* North Carolina +7' over Tcu - The reasoning for this play is on my other thread, but to summarize; long travel across the pond, potentially crappy weather, Belichick revenge from the beatdown in Chapel Hill last year, etc. etc. But the injury to Horned Frogs top WR Jordan Dwyer that will sideline him for this game is enough for me to pull the trigger on this play. I don't do money lines, but I wouldn't be shocked to see the Heels win this.
USC -38' over San Jose - this is only a lean, but I fully expect the Trojans to hang at least 50 on Sparty, and if they get the defensive improvements I'm expecting from new D-coordinator Gary Patterson, the men of Troy could be a team to watch this season. If they hold San Jose to less than two TDs here they should cover the big number.
That's it for today folks! Let's cash some tickets!

Nice way to start off the season after stumbling out of the blocks last year. The game went about like I thought it would. Figured it would be a 17-14 type of game, but the under players had to be a little nervous after the first quarter with the score tied at ten. Belichick's defense shut the door after that, especially in clutch situations. The Frogs converted just ONE out of five fourth down attempts and had a lot of self inflicted wounds with 11 penalties to just three for the Tar Heels. Going forward, both teams have a bye in Week One with a FCS game after that. Overall, I was impressed with the discipline of UNC. The offense looked a lot better under OC Bobby Petrino, as expected, and except for one long run by Frogs RB Jeremy Payne the defense was solid. And how big was that safety on special teams?!! The Heels are gonna be a tough out this season, and have four more revenge games on the schedule, starting with Clemson in Week Three.

Glad I didn't bet on USC with that huge line. Lincoln Riley was obviously set on getting out of this one healthy, and 16 true freshmen saw action in a game that wasn't as close as the final would indicate. They led 28-0 at the half and 35-3 in the third quarter before Riley called off the dogs. That's always the danger you risk when taking a big favorite. On to next week!

I tied usc -20.5 to several parlays….including east mich -6.5…..we will see if San Jose scores 23 in any other qtr this season… I’m not gonna lie… had this figured a done deal at halftime…. Stats are impressive on San jose QB…. I lean Fresno coming up. This was disappointing… only loss in my parlays.
