Yeah, but he's had a GREAT freshman season.

He put up better numbers than Cam Newton did I believe.

If he weren't a freshman he would be a lock to win.

How can anyone but Johnny Football win it at this point???  Who else can you possibly give it to.  The guy was clearly the best player in college football this season.  He would have my vote, that's for sure.

Be careful, there are enough Heisman voters that make their vote public, that at some point Manziel becomes a lock.

i would put some on manti teo think he will get alot of votes more based on notre dames fantastic season and he's an upper classman i think the voters will have trouble picking a freshman like the

he is a 1 maybe 2 year sensation...DC will scheme for him next year..he and the aggies should enjoy the success while it lasts...

teo is the best player...johnny football is a system QB, like those sumlin had a UH.  he is a special player and a little guy, that rallies folks to support. it is a feel good story.  but, unless he is next coming of doug flutie or drew brews, he won't play in the nfl...whether he wins the heisman or not...

For anyone betting Te'o, I think the Manziel field is the better option. Obviously includes Te'o, it's not much of a price difference, and you get the extra bonus of a miracle from someone else. 

Just a thought.

True really think it is between those two though. Manziel should win he had a tremendous season, but I really don't know if they will give it to a Frosh.

I agree with everything middleman820 said, 

I think it's worth a flyer to bet the field.  Hard to imagine a frosh winning this award.  Stats in college mean very little these days.  So many QB's throw 15 screen passes a game and get credit with 280 yards passing on those plays.

If Te'o doesn't win, that's robbery IMO. Johnny Football had a few great games to end his season, that's fine. Look HOW Notre Dame won those games and when Te'o had the key picks and sacks and TFL. He doesn't have the numbers but he is easily the biggest asset to that teams year. I heard in the radio that some analyst that surveys a whole bunch of the voters said Manziel by a landslide. If I had a vote it would be Manti Te'o.

If u read the mission statement of the Heisman Trust, it states that the Heismans are great LEADERS and ROLE MODELS and such. Manti fits the bill.

A Teo win would be a huge slap in the face to the many more deserving defensive players that didn't even get a sniff in past years.
