Just another way to get Ware and Honey Badger some extra rest, set another example for the team and have them all fired up for Bama. It will get the teams attention span a little sharper.

Probably going to be a 3rd suspension as well. I got Auburn at +24 when I first heard this news earlier today, but as an Auburn fan and someone who will be at the game, I have to say it will still be tough for us to cover even with the suspensions. FYI, Ware's backup has rushed for 359 yds on 67 carries this season and has 6 TD's (same # as Ware).

The War Eagles plan to start Moseley, which makes the first start of his career in Baton Rouge against a loaded Tigers defense and offense with or w/out those players...Good luck with that!!

ESPN is talking about this game as if its a close matchup

LSU is a 22.5 point fav AT HOME, this is not a critical game. Auburn is starting a QB with no starting experience on the road in Death Valley. LSU still rolls in this one.
 
ESPN loves to create story lines for no reason. I am pretty sure these kids knew about this upcoming suspension for awhile now (sometime after the UK game). This is the perfect game to sit them down and discipline them

I wouldn't call this the perfect game to sit them. No SEC game is ever guaranteed, except for maybe any against Ole Miss this year. The "perfect" games to sit them would have been either of their upcoming games against Western Kentucky or Ole Miss.

I am 90% sure this infraction took place right after the UK game and before the UF game. They couldnt afford to sit them at home vs UF nor on the the road at UT. This is the PERFECT game to sit them. With a bye next week then THE GAME against Alabama. You cant wait to withhold punishment on these kids for more then a month waiting to get to Western Kentucky.

and again if the 10% of me says this infraction took place within the past week then now again is the perfect game to sit them. For the mere reason it is hard to hold punishment up to a month. They dont play Western Kentucky until Nov 12.

You do realize how much variation there is from school to school regarding drug tests and the punishments for failing one, right?  You don't get suspended on the first failed test at any SEC school that I'm aware of and its up to each school to implement their own individual punishments. I've known of similar situations where the school has held off half a season before suspending a player. Its all very subjective...too subjective. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying as far as the perfect game to do it if there was some set timeline to follow, but not w/o one. That being said, none of us know the exact details of this situation or any of the other similar situations........which is something that's bothered me for years, but obviously what bothers me doesn't really matter to the NCAA or anyone else....LOL
