V Tech plays defense very well & Boise St can play with the best teams in the nation as we have seen from their past games. V Tech plays pretty good competition all year long, except for James Madison next week. Boise St plays V Tech, Oregon St, Fresno St, Hawaii & the rest is a weak schedule.
This game is Boise St's game to prove to the nation they belong with the big boys. Boise plays on ESPN 2 or 3 times a year so they know what to expect. V Tech knows all about national prime time games & I will expect top notch play from both teams. Imo, neither team will win by more than 10 points. This game will be won in the trenches. V Tech does not play well when they have to play catch up so they better not fall behind by 10 or more points because Boise will not let up.
If Boise takes a commanding lead, it should be over & Boise will get the win. Im expecting a great defensive game from both sides & I would like to make a wager on a side but as of right now, I will sit on the sidelines unless I feel I have an edge come game time.
prime with all do respect i have to disagree on your last paragraph that if boise takes commandind lead it should be over,i doubt that would happen, remember beamer hokie teams fall behind in big games a lot over the years and have stormed back via special teams and big plays, plus the fact boise is traveling to east coast just dont see these west coast cowboys comin to the eastside and bustin up tyrod taylors comin out party on national television, they say beamers dee and specihal teams is not as good as years past, but offense is better, i just beleive boise record ats has to come down to earth ,now they are a 1.5 dog at betjm , i gotta think va tech pulls this one off in spectacular fashion , wouldnt surprise me if hokie line goes to -2.5, or 3

What else is there for Boise to prove? They have beaten OU, TCU in huge bowl games...plus they are #3 to open the College season. I think the angle can be argue for VT, to prove that they are still VT. Should be a good game, VT to the $$$$.

BOL but I'm leaning MD +6.5, not locked it yet. This may be 1 of 3 games the Terps can possibly win ? The triple-option of Navy is of concern however. Maybe if I keep typing I will talk my way out of this bet ?? My gut is telling me MD cover, probably should fade me here.

How much motivation did Oklahoma & TCU have in those bowl games? If I remember correctly, not much. This game imo is much bigger than those two bowl games mentioned just on the basis that their opponents were looking to be entered in better bowl games.
