 Targeting didn’t exist until a few years ago.  These used to be legit hits, and I don’t agree with players being ejected for “lowering your head”.  Guess what, it protects the guy making the hit

I was playing semi-pro ball against Montreal at the time when a guy lowered his head and we collided. They had to unscrew his helmet right on the field, it was scary. He never moved. I still cringe when I see hits like that. They are just trying to protect the players

 We used to make crazy hits, loved it!  But the game has become bigger and faster, I get it.  But I don’t agree when a guy hits like in the Clemson game and gets ejected.  Yeah he lowered his head, but it wasn’t helmet to helmet or taking out his knee, it was mid section legit hit.  Hated seeing him being ejected.

For sure. The ejections are the part that bothers me. I hated seeing that Bama kid tear up on the sidelines. Sucks
