if (when) LSU wins the NC, will bama fans still think they're better?
by the way, in BC i've managed to watch every SEC game (maybe not the boring vandy games, but all the others). Especially the LSU games since that's where my parents met, there's a building there named after my relative, grew up going to games, etc. etc.

It has nothing to do with our ends not being fast enough. It was all a matter of game planning, and JJ messed that up.

People can bitch and cry about what is fair all the want, the fact of the matter is, is that the BCS picked the two best teams in the nation to play each other.

Tappy-
You are wrong about them not being prepared for Jefferson. Saban clearly stated after the game that they were surprised that Jefferson didn't play more, considering how ineffective Lee was. They knew JJ would play. Lack of preperation wasn't the problem. It was their lack of quickness getting to the outside that hurt them. Those things can't be coached. Bama is more physical and LSU is quicker. Will it help LSU win again? That remains to be seen. Your post in the other thread is the best one i have seen from you yet(and i am being serious) - Whoever makes the better adjustments for this game and executes them will come away with the win. (something along those lines)![]()

or will they finally admit that LSU is the superior team this year.
i'm just sayin...
there's been some pretty cocky talk coming from tide fans on these boards for a team that lost at home.
Alabama has a god complex meaning they really think they are better then everyone else. They gave an undefeated Utah ZERO credit for beating them a few years back, instead blaming it on a "let down" and having the head coach actually blame the fans for the loss because of how they booed or cheered durung the game. They claim national championships 98% of the teams would be embarrassed to claim such as the 1941 "championship team, what a joke") after going 9-2, finishing 3rd in the SEC and 20TH in the AP after some bozo voted them that way. Take a look at this if you want a good laugh...

Here's one for you that most do not know. Alabama won the SEC in 1972 by half a game. How do you win a championship by half a game you ask? You play one more conference game then everyone else. Bama played 8 SEC games that year while every other team played 7. Check this out...

They act as if the 2000-2007 seasons do not exist as if someone outside their university hired Shula and Dubose and Price...News flash...Those years count, you got beat by a better Utah team and you have about 8 national championships (somewhere in that neighborhood) that anyone with an ounce of humility would claim and again, refer to the link I posted above.
Having said all of that they will most likely beat LSU this time. I realize it is two totally different games, but if you seen the way they played Michigan St after the Auburn loss you can expect the same intensity as they will not lose twice in the same year to any, not even a very good LSU team, especially considering they should have won the first game had Saban had enough common sense over ego to stop trying long field goals after the first one and punted LSU deep. LSU has no chance of moving the ball on Bama where Bama will gets some first downs and a few points this time... If I offended anyone with the truth so be it...It is what it is...

Damn, i wish you had 5k to wager on this game! How about i give you 2 points and i lay 11-10? Do you have any money, or do you just blabber on and on? Bama outplayed their balls in the first game!! Can you put up or shut up?? If you can't put up, what do you do?

6 whole points in an OT game? QB taking a sack in OT?
Jesus Tappy, give it a rest.

You actually make a good point in the fact that national championships are meaningless as your statement can be said about 90% of the teams playing today on some level. You have schools like Bama that are Ego driven to the point of claiming championships some 40 years after the fact just to raise the number while most schools are integrity driven and do not claim championships they rightfully could. It all comes back to the stupidest way of determining a champion in all of sports. Even Womens Volleyball has a play-off.
