who cares what kind of pro he will be, hes in college right now and by all accounts seems like a heckuva kid who has faith, intelligence, will, and class, while being an excellent college linebacker.

oh and i cant stand notre dame but i give respect where respect is due.  do i want my son looking up to a guy like this or some thug who cant read, gets suspended, shoots up clubs who needs teachers to fake grades for him.

Manti is already winning even if he never plays a down in the nfl.

I agree with this as well. I can sit on the fence, its plenty wide enough.

Very true kid is total class, but by all accounts unless he gets hurt he is a 1st round pick.

I'm not saying he isnt a good football player. But this is just ludicrous. There are literally a dozen guys I would draft at his position before even giving him consideration. For a defensive player to win it they gotta be a game changer.....see Charles Woodson. Just electric (returning kicks doesnt hurt resume).....

If K St had beaten Baylor, Collin Klein wins this award easily. He lost late in the season and Manziel lost 2 games earlier.....

This award has already been given to Johnny Fooseball, they are just waiting for the ceremony.

    A. If he was on ANOTHER 12-0 team playing for the NC he would be on the Heisman ticket. Remember that is why he is on it because he plays for a 12-0 team.

    B. If he was on ANOTHER 12-0 Team they would know his name.

    C. Tell Kiper and McShay who have him as the 2nd and 4th best OVERALL for the draft GEEEEEEEZ

He is on the ticket because he is a great player and he is on a 12-0 team that is the number one defense in the country. Seriously do you know anything about college football and how it works. You are so clueless it's beyond comprehesion. Its why I never go into your threads they are all attention grabbing threads that have nothing to do with gambling. Have you posted any picks I know you like Bama, OU and Kstate. I have you down for those right.

I've only read the first post... and this argument is ridiculous.  If Teo didn't play for Notre Dame I'm sure you're right.. He would be the LEADING defensive player in takeaways on another UNDEFETEAD team and i'm sure he would get ZERO publicity... sounds pretty moronic in my opinion...People need to take off their sec blinders and put your notre dame hatred to the side for one moment and actually look at the numbers.  Leading player on the #1 team and #1 defense..

he might get drafted in 4th round or lower if he didn't go to ND? Keep holding on to that dream of becoming an NFL GM...  I can see it happening.

    A) He wouldn't be in the Heisman race

    The other choices are ludicrous.

All this talk of SEC bias, if Teo were on a few SEC teams, he wouldn't be the best defensive player on the team. The media tried to make a story out of his tragedy. Too bad. He seems like a genuine, nice guy. He's good, not great. Quite a few better defenders out there, IMO. I still think they're going to screw Johnny and give Teo the trophy. And when they do, all the luster and history that surround the Heisman will be gone forever.

Manti is already wining even if he never plays a down in the nfl.

He's the first player to ever have 7 interceptions and record 100 tackles.

Your post is literally inaccurate in regard to every statement you made.
I enjoy your capping but clearly you haven't watched the guy play.

    agree

for instance....Clowney at So.Carolina is a game-changer...SC probably would've lost 2 more games without him.  much more qualified than Te'o imo.

Well put on all. That he would not be known is about the dumbest thing I have seen posted in years

    Come on Train!

It's O.K. Manti, you swept all the other major awards, you are going to be a National Champion and a 10+ year NFL pro.  You are going to get multiple endorsement deals and be one of the cover boys of the NFL for years to come because you take care of business on the field and you're squeaky clean off the field.  And it's all genuine.  It has been since the day 1.

Johnny Football?  Flash in the pan.  It was fun while it lasted.  He won't take anyone by surprise the next three seasons.  Nowhere to go but down for the kid.  No more awards, no championships, no pro career, no endorsement deals.  He'll have a Hesiman Trophy that will just collect dust in his parents' house and won't pay the bills for him when he gets out of college.

Collin Klein?  Possible pro career carrying a clip board and then he's going to lead some kind of Branch-Davidian cult.

When it's all said and done, Manti be the biggest winner of them all.
