GucciCapper is still nursing a major hangover from the Chuseok festivities that took place this weekend in South Korea. While GucciCapper can drink beer with the best of them, GucciCapper is not as strong when it comes to that little green bottle of soju that Koreans love to drink. After about 3 bottles of Soju and 8 beers, GucciCapper was blasted. As GucciCapper gets older in life, these soju hangovers tend to last a lot longer than previously when GucciCapper was in GucciCapper's glory years. Nonetheless, it's football season so GucciCapper has been capping all day from GucciCapper's bed.
The card is a bit odd this week, but GucciCapper has GucciCapper's sights on a couple of games. The first one is luckily right after Gameday finishes, so GucciCapper hopes that everyone can start the day with some extra benjamins or bitcoins in their pockets.
GucciCapper is taking Kansas State +7 today for the following reasons.
1) Coaching. Kansas State has one of the best coaches in Chris Klieman. For those who don't know, Klieman was the coach for North Dakota State which won 4 national titles in 5 years. This guy can coach with the best of them and he has made a MAJOR impact already with Kansas State. How hungry do you think he is to beat his first SEC team? This guy will have his players focused and he will NOT take the foot off the pedal if he has the lead. He has a head coaching record of 72-13 which is amazing.
2) Revenge. Kansas State got beat up pretty bad last year in Manhattan to a tune of 31-10. Luckily, for Kansas State, this Mississippi State squad lost a ton of players and are in a rebuilding year in GucciCapper's opinion. Kansas State will not sleepwalk through this game knowing the beating they took last year on their home turf.
3) Tommy Stevens is hurt. He'll probably suit it up and start for the Bulldogs but GucciCapper is positive that he won't be 100 percent. Kansas State will smell blood in the water and will look to pressure him a lot in this game. GucciCapper believes his mobility will not be a factor at all and he will make a few mistakes that will ultimately give Kansas State the cover.
4) Kansas State is EXPLOSIVE. Yes, GucciCapper knows they haven't played against the best of teams but their offense is clicking on a new level. GucciCapper loves the culture change that Klieman brought in and GucciCapper expects this team to be quite explosive today in Starksville. Back to back 500 yard games on offense is a great sign no matter what teams you are playing.
With all that said, GucciCapper expects Kansas State to definitely cover the 7 points. A little sprinkle on the moneyline at +215 isn't a bad idea, but GuccICapper rather take the touchdown because beating a SEC team on the road is never an easy feat.
Best of luck today boys. Let's go Kansas State!
