Yep. I hope there will be a few bargains in there.
Over the years, I've found a few gems that have gone
undiscovered that I was able to go back to hit for
a few weeks afterward.

Two years ago, on Alabama / Mich. , the sharps were
betting the number down to me , so I just passed and
came back later.

BA, I started coming to Las Vegas in '86 to bet football,
before I moved here in '94.
I used to fly in on Friday, bet , collect and on Sunday
the Sands and the IP were kind enough to hang
early college FB lines so I was able to bet them
before I got on a plane home.
When I moved here I was one of those guys that hung
out at the Stardust on Sunday night waiting for them
to hang their CFB lines.
I never get tired of watching those numbers go
up on the board .

BA, Back in those days ( before computers ) all the
postings were hand written on white boards and
you could go from book to book and sometimes
see a 4+ point differential in lines.
Sports book directors were personalities and there
was " showmanship " in the industry.
It was a lot of fun and a great time to learn the art of
College football Handicapping

Compliments to Tony Miller and the staff at the
Golden Nugget for their hard work and effort to
put early lines up on the board . They did a great job.
So great in fact, that I could not find anything that I
was willing to accept risk on prior to season start.
I typically only look at the first three weeks of the
season , as injuries/ suspensions can take you
out of a play. I did not see anything that prompted
an early play. Well done guys.
I'll just have to be patient and wait for the opening
lines in July and see what comes up.
I was hoping for, but did not expect many opportunities
in week # 1. Reaching for plays is a losing proposition
while patience can reap rewards.

BA, Problem with a lot of these games is the multitude
of Quarterback and other key losses by teams that
make early wagering somewhat more risky. I'd rather
wait for the capabilities to assess matctups that will
provide me an edge. I feel it's better to wait for more
information.

I'm prepared to wait as long as it takes to find betting
opportunities that fit my criteria for this year.It may be
not til Weeks 3 or 4. But I'll have the edge when I make
the play.

They've increased it to 5 I believe. Personally, I've never
bet more than 2, so for me it makes little difference.
I only bet games in the first 3 weeks of the season.
