Even with that loss, OU had a decent chance at the NC game, if they won out.  Just like some teams run the score up for BCS reasons, if you are going to lose early, the prettier you can make that loss look in the scoring column, the better.  Nothing more, nothing less, he was playing the BCS game.  Quitting?  LOL.

Who the fuck cares about the Boise and WV games?  With all the Big 12 and NC games OU has played in during the last 10 years, do you really think OU gets up for those games?  Think about it, they play in a BCS game just about every year.  It isn't "special" to them.  4 NC games, the Boise and WV games, and we played in a Rose Bowl against somebody.  That is 7 BCS games over a 10 season period, if I'm not mistaken.  But yea, they should have been fired up to play Boise and WV when they probably lost their NC hopes for that season in the last game of the season.  Makes perfect sense.

Quit posting garbage.  Bad losses or not, OU is a top 3 program over the last 12 years.  The losses frustrate me too, but OU was suppose to rebuild this way.  Nobody expected a NC before the season started.  If they find a way to beat Baylor and OSU to close things out, then this season is probably right in line with expectations.

OU had a guy named i dunno Adrian peterson against USC and got smoked. they were the fav in that game and nobody gave usc a chance. how soon the OU fans forget.

And?  Since win doesn't winning a non-NC bowl game mean shit?  Sorry, but out of 4 NC games, we won one, lost one to a better team, lost a close one with a QB that played with a broken bone in his hand, and lost another close one without our top running back.

I couldn't care less about the non-NC games.  Just "fun bowl games" for the team, IMO. 

OU hasn't had the easiest NC games either.  Beating FSU in Miami with a QB that had a bursa sack the size of a grapefruit on his arm.  Losing to LSU in New Orleans with a QB that had a broken bone in his hand, and losing to UF in Miami without our starting RB.  I believe we lost to LSU by 6 or 7, and to UF by 10.

No shame in that for me.

Ya you play dogshit in the big 12, that conference is a joke. Iowa st is solid, a&m is awesome, missou had some solid years, k state really up in coming. the big 12 is garbage.

If you are going to base who has the best program on bowl record, or even BCS bowl game record, you can quit right now.

First, OU will be back, probably around 6-8th.  Second, that is the absolute, most idiotic thing you can base "ranking a program" by.  Seriously.  If you aren't playing in the championship bowl game, they are just that, bowl games.  They don't mean squat.  They are for fun.  You think OU practiced as much as Boise State did for that Fiesta Bowl game?  Really?  That win meant EVERYTHING for Boise State.  What would OU winning have proven?  Nothing.  OU spent that practice time letting young guys get snaps in practice, and working towards next year.  Boise State spent that time trying to beat OU.

Ask Saban if he cares about the Utah loss.
