As usual the fanboys are out in full force. Yawl practice some strange man love down south. Everybody says this team would do this or that but it doesn't change the fact the SEC is 1-2 ATS and the Big 12 is 5-1 ATS.

One bit of advice don't bet the new false teeth you got for christmas on the SEC this bowl season.

I see Georgia CRUNCHING MSU and SC handling Nebraska handily.

SEC, although I hate that conference for personal reasons, LOVE it for monetary reasons....

Here is the truth that most of the college football fans dont understand.

The SEC is EXTREMELY top heavy. LSU and Alabama are really good defensive teams. There offenses are beyond pedestrian. People think that the SEC defensive's are the greatest thing since slice bread...and they are overall the best defensive league in the country. BUT!!! They dont see the offenses like the BIG12 offers.

It's easy to look great when you play piss poor offenses that the SEC offers. Dont give the crap about how the SEC offenses are good but since they play all those defenses they look bad..... BULL SHIT

Overall I think the SEC is the best league. But the way ESPN makes you think that the SEC is the greatest conference football has ever seen is absurd.

The BIG 12 plays tremendous football...as does other conferences. Problem is most of the common college fan doesn't understand that... (AKA 75% of covers).

If you guys think alabama and LSU would shut these great offensive teams down Oklahoma st and Baylor and Oklahoma from the big 12...you simply dont understand how the game works.  Im not saying Baylor would beat Alabama or LSU... put I know for a fact they would hang a crooked number on them.

This is what the common fan thinks: Well teams from the big 12 dont play defense....  wait a minute now... dont you SEC homers say the same about your league? We play defense. Or is it all the offenses you see suck. Well? What is it?

Well? What is it?

I-AA Georgia Southern scored 21 on that vaunted Bama defense. The only teams Bama's defense stopped are other SEC teams. Why? Because the QB play in the SEC is terrible. They also played Kent State and that football powerhouse known as North Texas. Not quite a resume of a champion.

Big 12 put up points because they play high-school defense every week....

I mean look at Ok st agaisnt K St....or Baylor the other night...

What a joke...I thought Spielman(the announcer) was going to have a heart-attack....he said those schools should be embarrassed for having scholarship players like that

Not bad, I never said bad. I said overrated which makes it possible to take advantage of the spread. You can cheer your conference all day long. I want to win wagers.

Because Ok St giving up 34 to L Laf is impressive???

Just so you know...Bama rested 7 of their starters after the 1st qtr in the Georgia Southern game...and just so you know G Southern didnt score til the 2nd qtr

your original argument was about the SEC being overrated and the big 12 was a better conference.  That has nothing to do with ATS records, you fucking moron.

I'm pretty sure Trent Richardson was the best RB in the nation and Alabama had the best O-line in the nation.  If you knew anything about football, you would understand that an offense doesn't have to pass the ball every down to be good.  If you have a great defense, you want to keep the other D on the field by pounding the ball.  Give me a great run game and a great D over a "high powered" offense any day.  That's why more teams are moving away from the spread.
