Does SMU have a chance to win SU tomorrow?

Question

Only time I watched them play this year was against Tulane, and they looked absolutely pathetic. I don't trust the spread, so I'm thinking about just putting $1k on the ML. But I'd like some input.

Fresno has the defensive, talent, and coaching edge. Offense is a tossup. Yes Jones is good with his run 'n gun, but they just don't have the guns to beat Fresno imo.

I&#39;m not saying it will happen, but SMU could beat Fresno. I watched them play horribly against a&amp;m and others but the played tcu toughy, dominated Houston, and looked decent against Tulsa. The bottom line is, anything can happen in a bowl game. Especially with June Jones returning home to Honolulu.

I&#x27;ve seen SMU played couple times this year and I also watched Fresno St. couple times.  I don&#x27;t think they have a chance to beat Fresno St. Fresno St. or nothing.  SMU QB is f cking atrocious. I will take Fresno St up to -15

Short memories when SMU was &#x2B;17 vs NV in the same bowl 2 yrs ago and won by 20.   That said the SMU QB is not consistent and their receivers are small.  But their defense creates turnovers and can stuff teams if they get rest.  I think it&#39;s tight for he with FSU covering late.

How much are u paying for Fresno ML?  That&#x27;s got to be a shite load of juice.  I got Fresno to -6.5 teasing them with Panthers.  ML must have been what....-400?  Too rich for my blood.

Fresno&#x27;s offense is much better than SMU&#x27;s, while the defenses are pretty even.

I wouldn&#39;t call losing at Oregon by 17 &quot;getting waxed&quot;. That is pretty much what was expected of them at that point. 11-1 ATS says a lot to me about Fresno&#39;s capability. SMU is 1-4 ATS away from home. Carr is top 6 or 8 in the country in pass efficiency with something like 8.3 YPA. Fresno has an advantage in turnover margin as well. However, SMU isn&#39;t far behind in this category. I think Fresno has a slight advantage in scheduling and performed better with their schedule(admittedly I don&#39;t have SOS in front of me). They hung with everyone, Oregon being the exception. SMU&#39;s best win was Tulsa in a game that was pretty meaningless for Tulsa and meant bowl eligibility for for SMU. Other than that, there isn&#39;t an impressive game for SMU this year. I like Fresno here. I see a lot of reasons why they can cover this spread.

I just have absolutely zero reason to believe that SMU could possibly win this. Thinking about putting $2k on the Fresno ML which should make me around $500. SMU lost to friggin Tulane. Tulane went 2-10 this year. Their only two wins were SMU and UAB. They were utterly blown out in every other game.

SMU was literally 5-6 points away from not being bowl eligible, and this is the team people expect to beat a tough Fresno State team?

agreed . Treb- and fresno ML -450 is too risky , 1k to win 222 . how about bet on the OVER . if you predict fresno will win with high offense QB and the gang .  45-31. or bet on the Fresno TT over 35.5 . good luck on whatever you decide . and merrry xmas.

It&#x27;s never smart to bet the Over in bowl games. Defenses ALWAYS show up in bowl games, especially BCS games. Like I said the safest bet is the Fresno ML. Anything else is just gambling. I don&#x27;t gamble.
