CFP Picks and Why - Semis

CFP record is 7-2 - combined record is 14-10.   Let's look at some numbers:

Miami  47 10 5 15 

Miss     2 41 8 37  

Miami opened up as 3 pt fav. currently 3.5  at most places (madduxsports.com) .    Miami is better in Total Def at 10 vs 41 slight better in sagarin rank at 5 vs 8 and better in sched strength at 15 vs 37.    While Miss is better in total off at 2 vs 47. 

Game is being played on a neutral.    When I look at Bowl games with opening lines of -3 along with similar scenarios/numbers - the game that this resembles the most is when Wisc played Oreg - Wisc opened as a 3 pt. fav lost to Oreg straight up 27-28.    There was another game Okla/Miami  Okla won 37-34.   Three others were not close to the competitive level we have in this game.       

My plays:

1.  Miss. +3.5 

2. Indiana - 3.5

 I like to be as close to the opening line as possible - in the Indiana game it opened at 4.5 so anything below that I'm okay with - I hope:)

Miss was a tough loss but came back with Indy - on to the Championship
