Both teams are currently 3-1su coming into this game. I really hate this bowl game on every level, as I have completely mixed thoughts all the way around on the game. This is a complete shot in the dark, but I would lean to Marshall +4.5 and under the total...

SAN DIEGO COUNTY CREDIT UNION POINSETTIA BOWL
Texas Christian -9.5 for 20 units... Louisiana Tech has done quite the solid job since Colby Cameron has taking over as the teams starting QB. However in those games (their past 5 games) the Bulldogs played 5 teams that have a combined 22-40su record and have faced some very poor QB's during that span. Here's the list of QB's from their opponents in those 5 games followed by their TD's & Int's this season:
Matt Faulkner 13td's & 13int's
TraVaughn Colwell 2td's & 3int's
Randall Mackey & Zack Stoudt 9td's & 13int's
Cody Fajardo 6td's & 5int's
Derek Carr 26td's & 9int's
Only Derek Carr was able to complete 39 of 49 passing against the La Tech defense while the rest of that junk did do much of anything because, well they just aren't that good. Casey Pachall has done an absolutely fine job this season taking over the departed Andy Dalton (Cincy Bengals) this season. Pachall has completed 68% of his passes this season and has tossed 24td's while throwing only 6int's in 12 games. This is a huge red flag for me after seeing what an easy time the Bulldogs had vs opposing QB's leading up to this game. TCU's QB play combined with the fact that their defense is better than any of those listed during that 5 games stretch makes me sway heavily to the Horned Frogs to have great shot causing lot's of issues for the Bulldogs that they have not had to deal with up to this point. TCU's defense ranks 33rd in yardage allowed while those 5 teams ranked 93rd, 102nd, 89th, 52nd & 112th along with their bad QB play. TCU should put a big number on the board tonight...POD

Definitely a strong lean to the over in this game. Just see the big advantages on the side of TCU on both sides of the ball tonight. La Tech has been a big play type team though so an over could happen. But because TCU will be their toughest task in quite some time I will most likely not play the over and just risk my money on laying the chalk here because i'm not sure exactly how La Tech will respond to a much better team in relation to what they have faced recently...

Im a huge Bama fan, but I rarely bet on Bama... so take this for what its worth...Your point is valid, but take a look at all the SEC games that week. ALL the teams that played sub-par teams (Florida, Auburn, UGA, S. Carolina, and Bama) played much closer games than ANYONE expected. Bama has had video of last years Auburn game playing in the weight room for 365 days and were looking ahead to the Iron Bowl the following week...(Just like every other team on the list, looking ahead to their big rival) They didnt spend much time preparing for the triple option and that made defending it very difficult. You really need to spend time on those unusual offenses to slow them down....Bama was spending more time on Auburn. Also, one of the runs/TDs was an 82 yard run, which obviously skewd the YPC. I dont think you can look at that game and make a bet on the NC. If you watched the first game and honestly thought Bama had no shot, you need to watch the game again.
I've been following your basketball picks closely and really like your picks but I do know Bama football and I have to disagree on this one. I know I'm new to the site, but I'm taking Bama as my biggest play of the year....BOL and I'll be with you on most of your other picks.

hey Odds got a Ton of respect for you are your plays but the fact that TCU offensive coordinater left to Coach At Memphis and will not be Coaching tonight could be an issue. My 2 sons played Quarterback in College and they both feel it could be a big issue whats your thoughts?
