In 2008, the games with the totals set at 75 or above went something like 9-1 (Houston, Tulsa, OU, Okla-St, TT, etc).

You will also notice that the clock manager in the Houston game kept shaving seconds when he was not supposed to and each team was robbed of 4 points in the first half.

It's not a "system" or anything like that, just something to consider.

overs are never over in football because of situational spots throughout the game effecting their gameplay sets

sorry that not what i meant to say.  Either play the over or no play if your playing the total in the Cal/Nev.  Too much offense on both sides and not a lot of defense.  Too much risk IMO to take a stab at under.
