Last week's SEC leans were 5-1... would've been 6-0 if I hadn't gone against a double-digit SEC dog... again.
This week's SEC games:
- Mississippi -3.5 @ Auburn - Seems like Gus Malzahn's new Auburn offense has hit the wall. That happens after your opponents get a few games of tape to watch. Ole Miss aren't exactly world-beaters, but they are Auburn-beaters, I think.
- Georgia +15 vs. Florida - Missed this one when it opened at 16. All you need to know is that it's a double-digit SEC dog. My Georgia write-up will come later, but I also believe the Dawgs can win straight up.
- Mississippi State @ Kentucky -3 - Like Ole Miss/Auburn, these are two pretty evenly-matched teams. MSU invested a lot of emotional energy into that Florida loss, and UK rolled easily over a Sun Belt opponent, so I give the Cats the advantage as the more rested (and home) squad.
- E. Michigan @ Arkansas -37.5 - Holy crazy-line, Batman. I know Ryan Mallet and Co. have a quick-strike-capable offense, but laying 6 scores? Then again, Eastern Michigan did lose by 13 to Army at home, 48 to Central Michigan, 22 to Kent State, and also just lost to Ball State. Ok, take the Hogs.
- Georgia Tech -11.5 @ Vanderbilt - The nation's best example of the Triple-Option offense travels to face the nation's 85th-ranked rushing defense. This will not end well for the Commies.
- South Carolina +5.5 @ Tennessee - What is this, the weekend of the evenly-matched SEC conference games? This game is really tough to call, but I think SCAR stays close. The Vols might win, but not by much.
- Tulane @ LSU -35 - The biggest challenge for LSU in this game will be actually scoring 35 points.
