wasnt this the same line last year ??(maybe -16) and Bama won by 10 and it was closer than that....
True story buddy
This is a different team though. McElroy runs this offense smoother and the defense is even better. This Alabama team IS the best in the country and I have no qualms laying 17 on the road with the balance this team has

I can see WVU winning by 30. I have a tough time betting against Hawaii so the Over 55 is enticing there. Loving Pittsburgh on the road laying less than a touch and 24 is too many in the BYU game
Just some preliminary leans

With ya on "Bama. If 'Cats couldnt score on Fla., why will they score on 'Bama?? Gl all
bama fan here so this for what its worth...
kentucky will be able to muster more points this week than last... last year bama was favored by 16 at home and ended up being a three point game. i think bama underestimated them a bit... now, bama coming off a huge defensive showing against a potent arkansas offense and seeing that florida's defense totally dominated kentucky, may have this bama team thinking they could sleep walk through this game and win it. the truth is they most certainly could sleep walk through this game and win it.... but if they dont bring their game to kentucky, they could easily not cover.
i just think their will be a lack of motivation on both sides of the ball for alabama in this one. another factor to take into consideration is the fact that greg mcelroy is not 100% with a hip injury. its not that big of a deal, and he will most certainly start...but i think saban will be careful with him and i have even heard rumblings that star jackson (#2 qb) will see significant playing time.
to be fair, this could be far from the truth... but i do believe that saban will be cautious when it comes to greg and will have a conservative gameplan that protects him, which will keep the ball on the ground and in turn, chew the clock.
bama has had a tough time getting up for games like this in the past few years... i would be careful. i have never bet against bama and im not starting this week, but if were to, i would take the points. having said this, i hope im wrong and bama smokes them much like florida did.

interesting that FLA was favored by 21, 'Bama @ 17. FWIW, the last 3 qtrs of the FLA/KEN, Gators outscored them only 10-7. I don't know that I've ever seen a first qtr. where one team made so many mistakes and played so poorly (31-0). To their credit, KEN played hard the rest of the game and I think actually took something positive from that game. The FLA game definitely helps KEN this week against ALA. I believe this is a game to be careful with. We all know ALA is far more talented but KEN showed alot of heart and determination last week in a game alot of teams would have just gotten discouraged and given up being down 31 in the first qtr. It's a no play for me, good luck to you though!

very resourceful thread...i do agree bama is the best team in the country bibendi, but still think kentucky finds a way...these teams matchup better than kent/fla imo...thus making this game closer
