Before you take Illinois

Question

Illinois returns 5 on offense, led by FRESHMAN QB Nate Scheelhase, and return 7 on defense which is being led by a new defensive coordinator. Missouri returns 9 and 9, winning the last three meetings between the 2 schools. If I remember right, this series has not been renewed for next season. 13.5 is a lot of points it would seem but there are a lot of negative factors to consider should you back the Illini.

Illini lost starting safety suppo sani to a torn achilles and just today lost starting db terry hawthorne.  D backfield is gonna have a lot of young guys or guys coming off of injury from last season.  As an Illini fan,

Illinios will become an offensive juggernought in the next two years.

Why?

Paul Petrino, bobby Petrino's brother is now the offensive coordinator.

Now though they arent a team you can rely on unless getting 11 or more points at home.
