Ole Miss +28.5 and Ole Miss ML

The people here that laughed at me for taking the Rebels on the ML made the SU win even sweeter.

I hate to say it, but Alabama is stout.  They've diddled around a little in a couple of their games so far this year, but it was always obvious that they would eventually outlast and then put it on the other team.  Crap, I hate how true that is.

Mississippi, on the other hand, has been a paper tiger from the get-go.  Didja watch them at South Carolina?  Final score was 16-10, but anyone who watched the game knew it should have been 28-7.  Yeah, they got thrashed.

The only chance Mississippi has is that The Big Nutt has been known to come up with a win or two that he shouldn't get (and so probably ATS as well).  I'll be pulling hard for Alabama to go down, but I'll be surprised if they only win by single digits.  I'm with all the folks who say this line keeps climbing.  Dangit, dangit, DANGIT.  Alabama wins by 14.

You're right.  I had them at +24.5.  I must have been thinking of a few years back when the Rebels were 28.5 point dogs @ LSU and ended up losing in OT.

I went 8-6 last week picking up 3.9 units last week on my posted plays...

Thanks for the Kudos. I live in the Memphis area so I follow Ole Miss football relatively closely because I have friends that are fans. I'm a die hard Bama fan though so take my post for what it's worth. However. I try to be as realistic as possible about my team without trying to be  too much of a homer. I think we have a phenominal team this year, but I don't believe we will go undefeated this year because it's just too hard to do in the SEC. Plus, we did it last year so 2 years in a row I would say is virtually impossible.

LSU, despite their poor play lately, is one of few teams that matches up with us talent and depth wise so they certainly have the ability to beat us. Auburn could possibly beat us...that new offense is pretty impressive. Even South Carolina with their outstanding defense could sneak up on us next week if we have a letdown after the Ole Miss game.

But let me make it clear. Ole Miss has neither the overall talent or depth to beat us IF we bring our A game. Again, I know the stats about how close these games always are, but we have not had this kind of talent and depth at all positions in a long, long time. Yes, Ole Miss has a great defensive line, but South Carolina was moving the ball up and down the field all day on them and thats without having any resemblance of a running game. The only reason SC didn't score way more points is because they kept self-destructing inside the Red Zone with stupid penalties. Even crappy Vandy rushed for nearly 200 yards on them but again, 1-5 inside the Red Zone, including 2 missed field goals.

I just think we will have to beat ourselves for Ole Miss to have a chance in this game. Besides, the fact that Nutt is having to resort to gimmicks like closing off practice for the first time ever since he's been in Oxford should let you all know that he knows his team cannot beat us without trying to sneak some trick plays into the gameplan. He knows they cannot come out and man on man beat us. If both teams show up to play, Bama wins easy.

In 4 games this season, Snead has thrown 5 INT's and during his career at Ole Miss he is averaging one INT per game.  So I have to ask how you reached that conclusion.
