Here's the deal fellas......I am from Iowa and I know the big Ten pretty well. This week Iowa travels to lowly Iowa State. Iowa had a cake walk game last week against Tennessee Tech (1-AA)....There was not a lot to show last week as Iowa throtteled them (raining, game delay, and a lot of mop of time as iowa took a huge lead.) Iowa state played UNI (1-AA) who in all actuallity has a very good football program. Iowa States qb , Steele, was scrambling all game long and couldn't get anything going. The offensive line is like swiss cheese....They have a few key injuries on defense and there offense is mediocre at best.
Yes this is always a big game for both programs but iowa/Iowa State game is so lopsided- Iowa will cover the 7.5 easily....
We have Newscasters here saying that if Iowa doesn't cover the spread, he will shave his head on live television...(Yes, he is an idiot but that's besides the point.)
Iowa will pond the ball with Coker all day and there is noone - I mean noone- that will be able to cover McNutt at the wide receiver position. Iowa is better at every position....QB- Iowa State is starting a inexperienced freshman. Iowa has Vandenberg who has set multiple Iowa high school records. Offensive line is hugely advantageous to Iowa. The only way Iowa doesn't cover is if the Hawkeyes come down with some food parasite tomorrow. I'm not trying to say I know everything But I wait for this game every year, and this is a no brainer. I dropped a lot of money on them....as well as with a 2- teamer with stanford, and a 3-teamer with iowa, TCU, and Arizona State.
Good luck to everybody...I hope this helps!!
FYI...Weather on Saturday is high 70's with little breeze (no factor)
