Does a one year texas am team really count as a victory for the sec! Yes my beloved wolverines lost to a10-2 sec squad by 5 points! Yes bama crushed michigan! To bad our best corner was out that game early and avery who got beat early never really played after that showing! Bama was the better team! They are not the best bama team of the past 5 years like i thought they had been after the mich beating!

Furthermore will see how wonderful bama really is!
Georgie, lsu and texas a and m played bama and nd is better than all those teams! 5-3 sec bowl record not bad see the favorable matchups!
Big 10 played stanford and sc!
Mississippi played freaking pittsburg ! Florida played louisville! Misss state played northwester and lost! Big ten had much tougher scheduling for bowl mathcups even after being down so bad as a conference!
Sec favorable scheduling and playing close to home is the norm!

On a more serious note Alabama should win this game and I think there's going to be tons of value on the live bets in this one. I see ND keeping it close before Alabama' O-line, which is the best I've ever seen, wears them down at the end. McCarron holds a huge QB advantage, going up against Golson; a redshirt freshman.

i concurr, ND has faced a bunch of nobodies,a and as u said, also a bunch of one dimensioal teams that fall right in to ND streght that is ground defense ( pitt,mich,mchst,navy,Bcol) with only stanford as u mentioned, being a truly threat, as oklahoma has been an overrated team all season.....

Jimmy...Solid writeup 
I feel the same way about this game as the pitt ole miss game on saturday... Very confident in the better team (Bama) and that as the game goes on they will pull away from each other... However, as you know, at the end of the day, It doesnt matter how whoever covers covers... Altough the potential for a blowout is very good (putting a lot of value in alt spreads), I keep coming back to some back door cover for the irish...
Here's a longshot I'm worried about...
Bama up 20 to 10 in the 4th with 4 min to go and ND stopped with the option to kick a fg or go for it .. they make the field goal and are now down 13-20 and go for an onside kick.. bama recovers and runs the clock..
Ha ... whatever happens, you've done some hard work in your research and analysis and its much appreciated . Good luck and may the best team win

You really think a die hard Michigan fan will have a meltdown if ND loses? Haha your in for a rude awakening! I hate ND more than any college football team! ANY! even more than the Bucks! But this ND team is different! Different than any ND team ive ever seen or watch play! Hard to explain except when I make money on th +10 points which is a gift! Jimmy right up is totally biased and his credit to ND is reluctant! Felt he had to give credit to them for some reason! I am certain that SEC is not the monster espn portrays on the field! Michigan behind kicking is totally a horrible example to look at considereing michigan isnt elite yet! ND is elite in the trenches. We all keepp talking about ND defense line what about that o line! ND o line is pretty darn good! BIG!

Let me preface my statement by saying I am a BIGTEN fan and hate SEC.ND is a little better than Michigan in that ND has a better defense. Their offense i not as good as Michigan's offense but overall, ND is a little better.If you want a dose of realism, please refer to the ND/Bama game for insight to what is going to happen

Pitt as you saw didnt have best running back along with the fact that their quarterbay ck is absolute garbage. In the trenches pitt aint to bad! Ole miss is good! ND did almost loose to them but they won!
Georgia played Nebraska and was down 31-24 before Georgia beat Nebraska but Nebraska put up big numbers on that vaunted D!
Just like Lousville man handled Florida dont you dare tell me otherwise!
Michigan put up 28 on SEC defense with best player in the country!
Northwestern played miss state and beat them pretty good!
Clemson beat and LSU team and put up video game numbers on that defense!
My point is SEC defenses suck! Overrated.
