As an Auburn fan, I didn't enjoy it because I think you are correct. I love reading your posts, along with tideman and gold rush about the tide. I'm not sold on Auburn running the table and getting to Atlanta, but it could happen. Maybe this year will be the biggest Iron Bowl ever with both teams being undefeated. The last time Bama won a NC, Auburn didnt lose a game the next year. (I know that doesn't mean shit)
Good luck and War Damn Eagle

Fluker has struggled a little against the speed rush, but he is currently attending the Marcel Dareus school of speed rushing. LOL Jimmy
BOL this seson CalBear!!! Always great to hear from you!!! ![]()
Sick write up man. Bama is going to be nasty and more importantly, cover some spreads

The NCAA suspends Marcel Dareus for 2 games, and must pay $1,787.17 to a charity of his choice before he can be reinstated. Alabama is appealing the length of suspension.
I've never known an appeal to ever be upheld since you're appealing to the same body that made the ruling, but what the hell. Doesn't hurt to try I guess.
Overall this is good news for both Alabama and Dareus considering what the worst case scenario. The NCAA descibed Dareus as "one of the most truthful student-athletes we have ever interviewed." That obviously worked in his favor.
The ramifications of this ruling is that Bama may have to face Penn State without their best offensive and defensive players. It'll be interesting how that'll effect the line. I will still be on Bama HUGE!!!

I'd love to see both teams come into the Iron Bowl undefeated. That would be epic!!! Honestly I don't see it happening from either team. I think Bama will probably have a loss going into that game, and I think Auburn will probably have 2 or 3.
As I have posted several times, I don't think Auburn quite has the horses to be a serious threat in the East. If they can pick up another recruiting class like they did last season (and it looks like they are well on their way to doing just that), I think they absolutely will be in the years to come. I still think it is a bit premature at this point however.
to you this season!!!

Thanks atl4tigerfan. I would love to see an Auburn writeup from you. If you do it, please let me know so I don't miss it.
Agree with your point on talent. Talent alone is not good enough, but it is a requisite first step.
I also agree that Alabama will probably not get through the regular season unscathed. Don't think they'll lose more than 1 though.
I think you missed one of the salient points of my defensive write-up which is the front 7 that are called the starters this season are the mostly the same guys that did the heavy lifting last season. That is not the case with the secondary however. The secondary is at least as talented as last year's secondary however.
BOL to you this season bro!!!

Bama only has 3 seniors starting on offense, and 2 on defense. They will also have at least 5 underclassmen go pro after this season (all of whom have a legitimate shot at being drafted in the 1st round). That assures that this team will remain very young next season as well.

My "sleeper" player Courtney Upshaw was hurt in the first game. Hopefully it's not serious, and he'll be back for Penn State.
Another player that is really starting to seperate himself from the pack is true freshman LB CJ Mosley. He has been turning heads in camp, and was all over the field yesterday (leading tackler and two deflected passes). It's looking like he's going to be the next Rolondo McClain/Dont'a Hightower after Hightower goes pro after his sophomore season.
Everything played out much pretty much as I thought it would yesterday except my prediction that Bama would get in the 50s. They would have had Eddie Lacy not fumbled into the end zone on a 1st and goal from the 2-yard line.
