@az - yes, let's get this straight. Purdue WILL score and it will likely be a lot so no one should get alarmed if Purdue jumps out to an early lead or is up more than one score. BG will have enough to counter and cover.

Completely false. During Week 1 in the NFL the favorites went 9-5 and the books had their worst week since 2006. The world was on the favorites in many of those games. Week 2 the reverse happened. This Week it probably will be spread evenly. Again, if it were as easy as fading consensus in betting, we'd all be millionaires. It's applicable...in certain situations. I don't believe this to be one of them.

BG was never at +4.5. They opened at +1 and went to -5.5 and now have settled at -3.5. That is not the largest line move of the week. And moves from -1 to +1 and even +2.5 have almost no bearing on a cover so you need to inspect where numbers move since the public has no problem driving a number from +1 to -1 or even -2.5.
