Yeah I've seen some exaggeration and twisted logic in his write-ups, but if you overlook those, I mean it is hard to say WHY you like a side better than another with words--words can get us into trouble--than maybe he just has a good FEEL for a game. Just go with the dude's feel--he seems to be right on in many games. Logic and good writing doesn't make anyone money in this business.

Scal, Great write-up Brother. With the line move to 5.5, I decided to play a 2 team 6 point teaser BGSU +.5 and UMass + 35 $550 to win $500. May make it a 3 teamer and add GT -1.5 to eliminate the juice. Just thought I'd throw this strategy out there for those undecided about BGSU laying the higher #. GL all and thanks for the info Scal.

It certainly does Relax. I've been researching and writing up these games for over 11 years going back to Wagerline. I certainly have more of a 'feel' for Rutgers, Knicks, Giants, Jets and other locals as I basically live through them out here. But I have followed Purdue for just as long as well. I can tell when they are gonna spit the bit. Of course, Blough is an unknown under center but from everything I've seen and heard, he's a fade at this number (along with the rest of the team that can only feature a moderately strong running game).

Nothing happened. It's just bets coming in.
Two weeks ago Washington state opened at +5 vs. Rutgers, dropped to +1, went to +3.5 and ended at +6. WSU won outright. I paid attention to none of it in that case (but there are cases where line reading is more valuable than not).

Not really. Purdue opened as a favorite here. It's not akin to Seattle over the Bears in Seattle with a monster spread. The books actually liked Purdue a bit to start here. But they paid the price with a 6.5 pt move against their original number

Tennessee, @Maryland, Memphis. Cut them some slack. This is by far the easiest game of those 4 at a very reasonable number.

It was. At least financially for me.
Purdue dominated many stretches of the game against Marshall....but the ball is pointed at both ends for a reason. 
Closing in on gametime......the late money coming in on the power 5 conference squad in this matchup does lend credence to you being on the right side. 
The late square money will likely come in on the power 5 home dog vs a mid major. The fact that it is an early game lends itself to the action junkies that do not want to wait for the afternoon/evening matchups.
Personally, I am waiting for the Cal-Poly @MSU matchup......could be another big day for MSU QB Prukop...the guy went for 386 and 4 tds last week @ EWU with another 196 yds rushing. He was a machine....

Even with the odds drop, I still feel that the play is the teaser here and I agree with scal that the real difference here is the offense that BGSU puts on the field. This may come down to the one who scores last, which is why I prefer to have the 6 points. And I pulled the trigger on the 3 team teaser with BGSU +2.5, UMass +35.5 and GT -1.5, $500 to win $575.

Yes, yes of course.It is true. The action junkies love hitting up the noon games and seeing Purdue (Power 5) as a small home dog is to their liking from a betting 101 standpoint. But as we all know, general rules don't always come through and more often than not the books have adjusted to the long-held theory small home dogs are a good pick.

That's fine. This game has nowhere near the handle of the games on tap today so you are dealing with a much smaller and much more skewed sample size.
