In conference play, Texas has gallopped out to huge 1st-half leads while Iowa St. has only lead ONCE at HALFTIME.

Iowa St. has been down by 22, 19, 15, 10, 8, 7, 6, 4, 4, & 2 at halftime while being tied against Oklahoma St. and being UP by 7 points to Baylor (their only conference win).

Texas has jumped out to such staggering leads of up 25, 16, 16, 16, 16, 12, 11, 11, 8, 7, & 7 whil only being down to Kansas by -12 on their home court.  They then rallied against Kansas to win by 11 points. 

In Texas' ONE LOSS in conference @ Nebraska last Saturday, Texas' was up by 7 at the half (covering the 1st-half spread).

In conference play, Iowa St. has an Avergae Margin of -7.5 points AT HALF while Texas is +11.1 after the 1st-Half.

If you like HOME/AWAY stats, Iowa St. is -8.2 in Ave Margin at half-time and Texas is +11.5 at half.

Texas has shown that it is better in 1st half play and get a bit conservative in the 2nd.  They lost the 7-point lead to Nebraska and have given up some points to some teams in the 2nd half, while only adding to a lead at a maximum of 6 or 7 points.

And after a let down to a Nebraska team that out-played them, expect a very-well played game by Texas infront of their home crowd.

Yes, I'm sure ANYBODY would like to give less points, but on a team that is 16-6 ATS, It's hard for oddsmakers to not put out higher lines for them.  And I KNOW people have banking off of the money-making Longhorns.  They even cashed the 1st-half of their loss against Nebraska.  Sure I had them for the game spread too, but you can't deny that bettors love a team that is 16-6 ATS.

I always wish the best of luck to all fellow bettors and cappers.  I wish that we could all cash in all season, but besides a 16-6 ATS team like Texas, there's only one other team that can beat it.  I hope all you fellow bettors were riding George Mason as much as I hope you were riding the Longhorns.  They've been absolutely EXCEEDING oddsmaker's expectations of margin of win (ats).

The Texas' Longhorns have produced even better ATS on the 1st-half.

Yes, the -10 1st-half line is high, -9 would be more appropriate, but when you have people riding the 16-6 ATS team like people have been doing, PLUS knowing how BIG of leads they jump out to in the 1st-half, oddsmakers HAVE TO add a point to keep people thinking twice about it.  And what is it? How many games ACTUALLY come down to THAT ONE POINT?!?!  I think it's somewheres around 5% of all bets.

When you see a cash-cow, ride it.  At least until the oddmakers feed it too much and it's spread get bloated and inflated.

When you see a Baylor team at 6-12 ATS, stay away from it.  Those are the teams that DON'T MEET EXPECTATIONS of oddsmakers AND fans.....And obviously aren't any good for your bankroll.

INJURY REPORT:

6'11", 250 lb Senior, Jamie Vanderbeken is DOUBTFUL for tonight and has misses the last two games because of an ankle injury. 

He averages just under 26 minutes a game and obviously the height will always be missed.  For a guy that tall, I can only think of a few tallies that can shoot the 3-ball as well as he can.

PLUS, with him out, there would only be 5 starters and 2 benchers.  That can hurt against a Texas team that is gonna wear a team down.
