    Check out south point
You don't want to be close to strip
Parking no longer free on strip at most resort unless you get a players card MGM properties but you need to play slots etc to earn points
Even if you get to park free at times the lines getting out of garage are nuts you used to just drive out and go
Now you have to put your ticket into ticket machine and wait for pole to go up
I try to go to south point 1-2 times a month
Free parking 5-10 minutes to strip and airport

If you get airfare plus hotel combined then you should do that
    Those prices seem reasonable
Remember the better/nicer the strip hotel the more food and drinks are plus if you play table games limits are jacked up

South Point sure is getting a lot of love here.  Out of the places you listed I'd probably go with the Trop.  Might as well save a few bucks.  It's also in a decent location and has a quieter casino which might mean lower mins in the pits if that matters.  No poker room though.  MGM or Excalibur would be the closest.

I was leaning Tropicana as well.

It appears there is a lot of love for the Westgate's sportsbook, which is at the other end of the strip, but I figure if I really want to go there, I could just head that way for a day.

Anyone know about "watch parties"? Not a whole lot online about them, but think I might be open to splurging on doing this on that Friday.

I don't plan on having a car, so this shouldn't matter.

I like going the 2nd weekend. As mentioned b4 the first weekend u wait in line for the $5 bettors and need to put your action in the night b4 or get up early. More college bball fans 2nd weekend IMO. Also, if you play BJ there are so many peeps in town weekend 1 they jack the BJ table minimums up.

I wouldn't bother with the superbook.  I don't find it to be anything exciting and the Westgate is kind of isolated.  If you do go and you're solo take the monorail.  It'll be cheaper than a cab or uber.  If you stay at the Trop the closest station is at MGM Grand.

As far as viewing parties I'd steer clear.  Did 'hoops @ Harrah's' a couple years ago.  It was a ballroom setup with betting stations, unlimited draft beer and buffet for about $100.  The food and beer were bad and the atmosphere was pretty weak compared to being out and about on the strip.  That was my experience anyway.  I prefer to move around, hit the pits and check out different things with my limited time in town.  If you want to hunker down in one place all day it might be a good option for you.

Long lines at every sportsbook, other then that it's a blast and I live here. The town gets very busy for the month of march, I wish you good luck. My opinion the biggest and best book is Westgate Superbook. gl while in vegas, ff.

I'll have to try the Monorail this time.

Still trying to find more about watch parties, might be a bust, but if I can find one around $100, might just do it for Friday.

I've been searching in incognito mode, but the Tropicana package seems to have went up $100 since a few nights ago???

Booked my flight and hotel for first MM trip to Vegas (been to Vegas 4 other times). Staying at MGM and Cosmopolitan. Bachelor party so trying to split MM and other festivities like pool parties during the day...any recs for best pool party to also catch the madness?

Also the apps from books sound like a much better way to place bets than the window...can out of towners use the apps? What're deposit/payout methods on the apps?

Who do you speak to about securing a VIP suite for game watch and how soon out should you do this?

Any other recommended watch parties besides Caesars?

Any other recs to enjoy the games and the Vegas day/night life?

It appears there is a lot of love for the Westgate's sportsbook, which is at the other end of the strip, but I figure if I really want to go there, I could just head that way for a day.

Anyone know about "watch parties"? Not a whole lot online about them, but think I might be open to splurging on doing this on that Friday.

I had mentioned Watch Parties early in the thread. I see that there was one comment about a poor experience with "Hoops @ Harrah's."  I went to the Watch Party at Caesars last year...I believe it was $150 (Not sure about this year as I have different arrangements) and it was a great experience.  If all you want to do for one of the days is watch the games, I'd highly recommend it.  If you only want to watch some here and there, I'd save the money.  The private betting tables are awesome to have and the buffet food at Caesar's was delicious.  If I didn't fall into a lucky situation this year, I'd definitely be going back to Caesar's for the watch party.
