yesterday 1-1...Georgia had their second best scoring night of the year and exceeded their best scoring night in SEC play by 15 points. They handled the Arkansas pressure like I thought they would but had their best shooting night of the season. Despite that the total on went over by 5 points. Tennessee outrebounded South Carolina and despite Caroline getting some offensive rebounds they couldn't score inside. Both teams shot the three very well.
GA Southern +2 (3 UNITS) - Playing another game involving Wofford. This Wofford team is playing their 2nd of three straight road games. They have lost 2 in a row and they are going on the road to face a team they beat by 25 earlier in the year. GA Southern is up one game in the loss column over Wofford for second place and a first round tournament bye. This GA Southern team has won 5 of 6 and their only loss was at Samford by 2 points. This team is playing very well and get a shot at sweet revenge tonight. Any time I see a team favored by a small number after winning the first meeting by 20 plus it makes me take a deeper look. I really like Wofford but this team is 343rd in bench minutes and they may be running out of steam down the stretch.
So why 3 UNITS (matches my 3rd largest play of the year)? This Wofford team is a team that is 56th in 3PT% points. They are reliant on the jump shot. GA Southern's strength as a defense is defending the jump shot. Wofford and GA Southern are both playing their 3rd game in 6 days but Wofford's best two players are 1st and 9th in %minutes. Fatigue is setting in! I think Wofford will catch their second wind soon but tonight looks like a bad spot for them. I will play the home team with revenge.
