well coming off a very good night , where we almost won every game we played , including teasers and parlays tonight , also games where i said i liked them alot and could possibly become plays , str ups posted 5-1 leans posted 2-0 games that might be played texas am and VT ...only loss over 152.5 tulsa they got 149 7 parlay plays 1 loss Richmond, teaser plays 5-0 a decent night
Thursday there are 49 games on the board hopefully we can find some winners again
merrimack at Iona and merrimack is actually favored coming into this game but should they be?, if ya followed me this year you know i was on merrimack a lot this year and they have covered for me a lot , they are playing really well right now, coming off the road win vs a very good Mercer team last game, they have won 10 of their last 12 games and 4 of their last 6 away games, and Iona has won their last 4 home games , so the odds makers make Merrimack a road favorite , they have not been a road favorite yet this year, but they are 5-0 str up as a favorite, 3-1-1 ats as a favorite, and 6-5 ats away this year , Iona is 7-1 str up at home, and 5-3 ats at home, and 1-0 ats as a home dog this year, merrimack is 8-3 str up after a win, and 7-3-1 ats after a win , 8-1 str up in conf and 6-2-1 ats in conf, Iona is 4-5 str up in conf, and are 4-5 ats in conf
these 2 have met just one other time last year with Merrimack winning on the road 77-70 as a pk and the total was 132.5 and it went over ...this is a tuff game for merrimack i think it will say a lot about them if they can win, they play a lower scoring game usually, away they avg 64 pts a game and give up 71 and iona at home is avg 75 pts and giving up 67, what i do not like is that Merrimack does not rebound well, they are lead by 3 players , they only play 8 deep, they beat Marist last game by 13 even though they only took 44 shots and marist took 52 they shot just 24% from 3 4/17 and marist shot just 13% from 3 2/16 they had 3 offensive boards and marist had 12, they only had 7 assist the whole game it was their defense that won it , holding marist to 33% shooting and one 3rd of their total points came at the ft line 22/27 and marist was 19/22 these 2 scored 123 pts and 41 came at the ft line , the total in this game is 142.5 i would consider maybe an UNDER play here, even though Merrimack has done well for me i am worried here about taking them , Iona moves the ball better averaging 17 assist a game, they shoot better and at home much better, they should have a big rebound advantage here too, it will be interesting to see where this line goes , i hate Unders but i could see one here, if merrimack is going to win this they have to make it ugly , i find it hard to take them and hard to go against just because they have been finding ways to win, now i see why the total is 142 and thats because at home Iona seems to score in the low 70's but Merrimack when away have scored 57, 62, 91, 45, 65, 59, 59, 80, 63, 63, 68, and iona scoes more at home too, when away they avg like 65 pts and they just lost to marist 38-83 4 games ago very odd game to be honest if merrimack was a dog i might like them more...lol what say you?
