Yesterday I felt really good about the Tulane pick, but hey, you win some and you lose some! Missouri came in as a winner, so I split, paying some juice!
Today I like, and have taken several games:
Vanderbilt -1 (2.2 to win 2.0) Davidson is dangerous, but I like Vandy here as a close road favorite. Being the "bigger kid on the block" I don't believe playing on the road hurts the Commodores in this situation. Coming off back-to-back OVERTIME losses to two top quality teams in Xavier and Louisville, Vandy will be refocused and ready for a good Southern Conference Davidson team. Davidson isn't a bad team, and Vandy lacks some depth (which hurt them against Louisville), but the 'Dores have the edge overall in this matchup. Davidson played Duke close for a half, and I expect something similar tonight. They will compete, but in the end, competing isn't enough considering they're only getting ONE point. Give the point and take the visitors!
Toledo +12 (1.1 to win 1.0) Toledo hasn't really played anyone, so keep that in mind when looking at the stats for this game. Looking at pure stats, the Rockets are the inferior team in this matchup. I don't believe that tells the whole story though. Temple may be the better team here, but they are not better by 12 points - especially on the road. I'm taking Toledo and the 12 points!

Here are two more. MTSU -5 (2.2 to win 2.0)
The Blue Raiders from MTSU are off to a very hot start, both straight up (8-1) and ATS (8-0). I think they continue both streaks tonight on the road much to the disappointment of UAB. UAB is 1-6 SU and ATS, and have struggled to score points. They may only be giving up 61 PPG, but they're only scoring 54 PPG! MTSU hasn't played a stellar schedule either, but they're putting up over 80 PPG. I think this is a double digit win for the Blue Raiders. For that, I'm giving up 5 points and making this a 2 unit play.
Xavier -6 (1.1 to win 1.0) Besides being ranked No. 8 in the country, the Musketeers are off to a 6-0 start with quality wins over Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Purdue. Butler has had a rather disappointing start at 4-4, and an OT loss to Valpo only deflated their spirits more. They do edge the Musketeers in two key categories, free throw % and turnovers, however I don't see that being enough to keep this one close down the stretch. If Xavier plays even close to their ability, this one is more than a two possession ball game. Play on Xavier.
