Haha, I know no one cares.  But been off to a blessed start, another big dog bit last night and was my 4th 6+ point dog to win outright (Delaware).  The oddsmakers and public don't know enough to set these lines.

Tonight, Santa Clara catching 12 points!  This line is loco.  St. Louis is going to be decent this year, top of the A-10 and maybe eek into the top 25.  But, they lost 4 starters, and their coach.  Santa Clara was winless in the WCC last year, BUT their 2 best players and 3 best starters return (the 2 best players didn't play due to a DUI and ACL injury).  Both are back, Foster is a BEAST.  It must tell you something if a team that went 8-22 and 0-16 is getting votes in the polls (they got 6, St. Louis 8).  This team is good/decent.  Give me the Broncos +12, going to wait till tonight to play it to maybe get another 1/2 point (public is on St. Louis).  The appropriate line is St. Louis -3 or -4.  Want to be gutsy, take the Broncos ML, hope Foster is on fire from the outside and ride off happy!

Use your winnings wisely, the enlightened one has spoken.....

Thanks guys, heard the line is up to 14 in some places!  That is insane, the only way St. Louis covers that is if Santa Clara is iceeee cold from outside.  Really like this play.

I have it at +14.5 on Proline (Ontario Gaming "bookie" system).

Thoughts on Creighton covering that spread?

Wow, I actually just capped the Creighton game.  UAB is going to be horrible this year.  They have no big men, new coach, nothing returning thanks to the transfers.  Don't usually like laying so much, but this should be a 20 point win easy.... Good luck!

They return 4 starters, sorry.  Leader Conklin is gone, and pre-season 1st team PG Mitchell is out with surgery. 2 huge, underestimated losses.

Have to disagree here in that St Louis will be very strong defensively again this year. They will put the clamps on Santa Clara who have no inside game and you know St Louie will up tight on those jump shots.

I wouldn't be surprised if Santa Clara doesn't even get out of the 40's tonight.

Maybe, but reminds me a lot of the Delaware/Virginia game last night.  St. Louis is still finding its offense with Mitchell out and Conklin gone.  Santa Clara is much more talented offensively than St. Louis, St. Louis muchhhhh better on defense.  12-14.5 points is way too much in my opinion.  Santa Clara does have an inside game as well - Trasolini and the 7'' Garrett.

St.louis was a pretty good team on the uprise - I know they lost their beer belly coach but if they didn't lose to many guys I would not want to be on santa clara

I agree that the offense will take time without Conklin and Mitchell but the slu guard play is still really strong...they are smothering on defense...I don't know much about sc but if they struggle defensively this game could get ugly...just my opinion...good luck

-FLA -6.5 it's going to be a beatdown
-STBV -2.5 Cornell wouldn't cover if they had dwight shrute
-SCLA +14 - St.louis is a different team this year
-I have two tickets one with CRTN-16.5 and one with ABIR+16
- This way I might lose $4 but I should be tight to win $20 no matter what

instead of a $18 profit it's a $16 profit - but it's all good as long as
FLA-6.5
STBV-2.5
SCLA+14

I also have a $2 ticket that just has two games FLA -6.5 is for sure and SCLA+14 is a nice amount of chalk to take with the broncos - I do think vegas is basing this line on the old St.Louis team that was really good - but they are starting over so BRONCOS +14
