Happy Friday fellas, we are less than 1 week until the start of March Madness. March is my favorite month of the year just for this event & how many great college basketball games are being played. Can’t wait to see the crazy upsets this year. That being said, here are my picks for today’s slate of games:
USF -6.5 over East Carolina
USF has been playing amazing basketball the 2nd half of the season & dominating in the AAC. East Carolina has been a joke of a team in this conference for over a decade now. Play USF ml
Mississippi State +10.5 vs Tennessee…
I’m not a believer than Tennessee is even a top 10 team in the country. Both teams are playing to move on in the SEC tournament. Mississippi state should be able to hang in there and keep it within 7 pts by the end
Auburn -7.5 vs South Carolina..
South Carolina is the most overrated ranked team in the country. Auburn should cruise to an easy win, I’d take the Auburn ml before the -7.5 to be safe but I expect Auburn to win by 10-12 pts
UCONN -9.5 over St Johns…
UCONN may be the best team in the country when they’re playing basketball how they should. Houston is the only other team I see who plays this good on offense and defense. It’s nearly tournament time and UCONN has been in these situations. Big line makes me think it’ll be a blowout for UCONN to win an 80-57 type of game, wouldn’t be surprised if we saw that. Ml is extremely safe but probably going for -400, I like a -9 or -9.5 for UCONN tonight
*Illinois -4.5 over Ohio State (my favorite play of the day)
Illinois has been battle tested and with a healthy Terrence Shannon + Coleman Hawkins; this Illinois team can put up 100 against almost anyone in the country. The only question is whether they can play even above average defense. Illinois can make a Final 4 run this year, but only if they play good defense. Ohio State is nowhere near Illinois’ level and expect Illinois to handle business tonight. Illinois -4 is very nice if you can find that line
Oregon +11.5 at Arizona
Arizona is extremely talented, a top 5 team in the country behind UCONN and Houston for me. They play great basketball, but 11 points is too much to give a hungry Oregon team. I expected a line of -8 to Arizona, but I will happily take the underdog of Oregon in this spot
Utah State +3.5 vs San Diego State
You’re telling me I can get the better team and grab points too? San Diego State has not impressed me enough, this game will be a battle. Take the better team at Utah state +3.5 if you can get a teaser for Utah State to a +8 or higher that’s a great play
