Yes Florida is ranked highly in the defense, but look at the teams their staving off, all teams below 60 points:

Florida Southern
Penn St.
Georgia Southern
Villanova
Florida Atl.
Southern Miss
Vermont
Auburn
Florida A&M

Are any of those teams in the top 100 in Offense? Not to mention, 3 of those nine teams beat them with fewer than 60 points.

No no, I refuse to accept that S. Fla is the Play. The only teams to beat S.Hall are The Orangeman and Northwestern, whom at the begining of the year were on fire. Southern Flordia might be a different team at home but I don't think they're an A list team, and that's what it's going to take to beat Seton Hall.

I'd rather bet on the better team and that's clearly Seton Hall and the spread is as small as it gets.

Average i agree.. Just can't see South Florida's offense keeping up Seton Hall's offense...

The other night I bet you were in on the Raptors +1.5 when they won 3 of their last 4 going up against a winless 0-8, and favored Wizards teams.  Bleh

Nope. Don't bet the raptors to beat a spread. They're too inconsistant and simply put, not a good team.

I can't think pf one reason to play fla. In any case, enough negative thoughts on this game for me to place a resonable bet. It's always a good thing to minimize the amount you put on the table. I'll be happy with the earnings on a 6 unit bet.

I like Seton Hall, but someone asked "why South Florida?".

Seton Hall will be trying to win their second road game in a row. Usually, win percentages go down across the board for the road team when playing the 2nd road game in a row. 

USF has the size inside to bother Pope and potentially get him in foul trouble. If Pope gets into foul trouble, it could be a layup drill for USF. 

Those are pretty much the only reasons I can come up with - basically no other factor says to pick USF. The line talk here is nonsense - there's no Vegas line that wins more than others for one side. Baylor has done great as a small road favorite this year and in fact only FIVE games have been lost by top 30 KenPom teams on the road to non-Top 100 teams and Purdue has two of them.

S.H. definitely looks tempting, but It will probably be a no play for me. I've always heard to take the home team getting points vs a ranked opponent.

Listen People I don't make many posts.  I hate when people look too far into the spreads this is the reason so many people lose $$$$$$$.  If You can't make your mind up in the first 20 mins then you probably shouldn't wager on it. With this being said tonight Take Seton Hall -2/Creighton -2.5 and Parlay them together.  I agree the wise guys in Vegas got these lines wrong and won't regret it because tomorrow 1/14/12 They will make alot of the money back with alot of tough pics with the conference plays.  Good Luck to all and thank me later and follow me from here on out.

Really? I'd rather bet on the team that covers (as I dreamily think back to Memphis @ Michigan .... oh, and Mizzou @ Illinois).
