After losing two thirds of my entire bankroll on my Cats last night, I have decided that I am done with this insanity. When I go big on a game and lose I'm throwing away weeks of solid handicapping dividends. I would like to hear about any and all systems of bankroll management that you all use. Thinking on it today, I don't think I will be comfortable risking any more than 5% of my entire bankroll on one play. With March Madness upon us, I may be interested in anywhere from 5 to 30 plays in one time slot, and that could add up to too great of a risk. If I lower the percentage of my bankroll I want to risk on each play in correlation with an increasing total number of plays in one time slot, I might be then betting less on each game than I would like. I think, at least in the beginning, I want to have a set percentage of my BR that I will risk on any play -- no plays get less, no get more. I don't want to set it too high or I would be risking too much of my BR in the high volume days in March Madness and NFL sunday.
I would be really interested in any sort of BR system any of you use.

I neveer play more than 10% of my bank on anyone play! normally i will stay consistent through out the year for example all my posted plays will be 2 units end of story!!! you have to play for the long haul and not the short! hope that helps you a little and BOL to you in the future!

I usually try to stick to 1 unit on evey play and if i feel really good about it i will bump it up to 2 units.. then when i get drunk, i usuallly play alot more games and usually 3 or 4 unit games and chase until i get it back, lose my appetite, get an ulcer or pass out...
That system doesnt work very well though....

Most important thing is to never put the account on one play. No matter how sure you are. There is just too much variance in sports that you can be so sure of a game. Second, I strongly feel that one should never go BIG on a heavy public play. You can sign up for free on www.sportsinsights.com which provides basically live percentages. Many times, people go BIG on the games that are heavy public plays and vegas ends up cleaning up. I know it's happened to everyone. You see the dominant team at a PICKem and you go HUGE on them only to take an asswhipping. Another way I max my wins and minimize my losses if by hedging. Most people on here do not bet parlays and reverses but I have found it to be profitable through hedging. For example, if i bet a two team parlay it is 2.4 to 1 on my money. So if i have 200 to win 480 and my first game wins, i automatically place a minimum of 200 on the opposite team of the second game. That way you are risking almost zero. I hope this helped.

hedging every parlay is not profittable, lol, search for vanzacks thread on this, its classica and informative.
OP google 'Kelly Calculator' this should take you a site with spreadsheets. I suggest making the Kelly Multiplier '.5' and then playing with the other inputs.
